Nothing significant - if any at all, I want to start racing my car a bit more so I only got it mainly for weight reduction.

Yeah stock bonnet looks better, like I said only got fiberglass one for weight reduction - took a while for it to grow on me as well have still got stock one in shed though

Time for a bit of an update, found the cause for the failure - stupid cheap *** wastegate broke and caused a massive overboost. Motor has been stripped down and has had bits sent off for balancing and porting, have stripped the car down ready for half cage. Have removed over 120kg from it so I'm hoping to get it somewhere in the 1100-1150 range when its all back together. Hoping to hit around 300rwkw on E85 so should be a bit of beast then anyway heres some pics of damaged rotor/housing and turbo.

Yeah big detonation flat out in 4th gear + 3mm Mazda seals = catastrophic failure. Oh well some more ornaments for the shed lol

Holy cow that engine got shredded!!!

While you're redoing the engine, why not get a 3 inch ID downpipe and exhaust? And why skimp on the wastegate, one of the few items from making your engine run safely?

Yes is all getting changed as it will be a completely new setup plus car is going to be pure track so no need to worry about trying to make it legalish lol Yeah well wastegate was one of those thing when purchased car only did street duties and it worked fine, just the heat from racing killed it. Still I learnt my lesson.

I bought it from a shop here a couple of years ago. The diaphragm just perished from the heat and split.

Anyone in the States got some links to some good online shops for Tial gates and Aeromotive fuel pumps?? As I would prefer to buy from a shop rather than ebay. I have found a Jegs? They seem to have good prices for Aeromotive stuff but dont stock Tial gear.
