However, as you can see from the video things are moving and moving pretty fast. In the video you can see the Tamon Design spoiler mounted to the 2nd trunk lid. I'm going to be brutally honest about this piece. This spoiler fit like absolute shit. After removing the badges from the trunk and trying to fit the spoiler we found a monster gap in the area corner where the spoiler is supposed to be contoured like the trunk lid. The ends had to basically be built up with more FG to fill that huge gap. The gap was large enough to stick you finger under the sides of the spoiler! My body guy asked me multiple times over the last few weeks if I was sure that this spoiler was actually for this car. We also found the mounting solution that Tamon had provided to be a bit ghetto. 2 long strips of double sided tape and 4 screws(or Rivets) one at each corner of the spoiler. The tape comes pre-attached to the spoiler no other hardware is provided. Tamon does include 2 pieces of Carbon Fiber that I believe are to be attached to the corners of the spoiler as they have a contour similar to the wing where it mounts to the trunk. They do not fit the actual contour of the trunk lid though. They could probably be shaved down to fit. They have 3 studs in them with nuts. I will take pics of them to show what they are and how the spoiler originally fit with the trunk lid. As of now I am probably not going to use the carbon bits. No picture of Tamon's spoilers online have ever showed these pieces. Anyway, we decided to not use Tamon's mounting solution. Instead, the 4 holes for the screws\rivets have been filled in and inside the spoiler bolts have been installed that go through the trunk lid so it can be secured with a nut. We will use those probably in combination with the double sided tape for a much cleaner install with no visible hardware. The RB spoiler has been repaired and the antenna hole in the spoiler has been filled and shaved. The studs in the pedestals had been broken off prior to me getting it. The pedestals have been repaired and new studs have been installed along with new rubber gaskets. The video shows the final finishing material being sanded down from the spoiler. Stock emblems have been deleted from the trunk the RB spoiler will be mounted on. Finally in the last part of the video you can see the Pan Speed hood sanded down ready for the final finishing material is added then sanded down. More to come very soon!:) |

Also, in this video you can see the awesome job they did installing the bolts into the RB spoiler. I almost had forgotten I had a set of tow hooks to install and that taking them to the body shop to trim the bumpers for them would probably be a good idea. So, here you can see the rear hook. :) The front hook will be on the driver side. It hasn't been put on yet. OK, now those CF Tamon Spoiler side plates I had mentioned before. Heres a couple pics of one of them: http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/4...epeice1re3.jpg http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/6...epeice2pr9.jpg Theres a piece of blue plastic over the CF that peels off. When I first got my spoiler and found these in the box I was a bit perplexed. I had not seen them in any Tamon pics, but from looking at them it was quite obvious where they were supposed to go. It looks like your supposed to drill 2 holes into the side of the Tamon spoiler and mount these to the sides. Heres how they fit against the trunk: http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/2...icefit1tf7.jpg http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/2...icefit2ik5.jpg http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/5...icefit3nl5.jpg That is basically how the spoiler itself fit against the trunk. And fitment against the fitted spoiler: Here are a few pics of the built up sides of the Tamon spoiler with the new mounting solution. :) You can also see the double sided tape that Tamon includes. http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/8...nmount1zd9.jpg http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/2...nmount2wo3.jpg http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/5...nmount3mj5.jpg That side wall was originally about 1/8 inch thick and the spoiler was quite flimsy, this has added a little weight obviously but the spoiler is much more sturdy. The car has been rolled into the next section of the body shop. So everything should be getting primer next week, we might even see some paint. |

Thanks. Which wing don't you like? I have a Kirk roll bar. I haven't put it in yet. I've been debating using that or going with a custom job. just a wing in general not a big fan of them on the verts.. they look nice on the hatches though and nice |
Liking the RB spoiler- looks great with the lines of the widebody.
Not so much a fan of the Tamon, but it is a bit more subtle. I think the ends just look kinda chopped- but if you had tapered end pieces on the rear quarters to "wrap" the spoiler a bit, it might look too much like a Camaro...IDK. |

Right now the primary goal is to get some primer on the body parts that have been worked, to avoid contamination. The front windshield has been popped out. The metal underneath has been taken down to bare metal so it can be repainted and resealed nicely. Check out the paint booth\oven. :) |

Looking real good so far juiceh. I cant wait to start working on my widebody project from just seeing all your progress. When do you think the exterior will be complete?
