4-Rotor FC Build
I think racingbeat (maybe mazdatrix?) offers a service where they take a corncob rougher end mill and machine out the coolant grooves in the rotor housings to increase surface area. Seems like you could do that as well on all the interior coolant surfaces if you're even remotely worried about it.
All right, I know it's been a while but just thought I'd reach out - doing design work on a short crank 3-rotor eccentric shaft, and I wanted to know if you were willing to share any of your thoughts on the taper on the eccentric shaft, specifically how much interference you used. I can run the math but would appreciate a reference so i can be sure I'm in the right ballpark before the parts get expensive.
So John when r u offering a complete 4 rotor? LOL Ok maybe it's asking too much. Have you entertained the thought of creating your own rotor housings? What material might you use for the contact surface? Some blend of iron, chromium, etc.?
Just found this thread and spent 4 hours reading through every post. What an amazing and thrilling build.
I am a little sad though that the white 4 rotor is no more
hope we get to see the completed 4 rotor build!
