Summer Build
No history, yet.
Too afraid to know.🤣
Got it from a u-pick as salvage. They're too cheap to get a sellers license so they can only sell salvage even though the car may not be 'salvage'.
But that's on the buyer; Better know what you're doing.
Five letter 84s are hard to find. Mileage was higher than I'd like - 141k, but the rest is in great condition.
Only thing missing is the original radio stack - gotta find me that radio (just for asthetics), loved the look with the eq.
I rebuild as a hobby. Not a mech or anything, just a lot of ADD, and I like Rx7s, and I'm retired.😎
Got the red one in a boneyard on flats and in parts; Even the interior didn't match. Paid $1800. Gave her some TLC, replaced the pieces and parts got her running and smogged (a must her in Cali), and 18 months later sold her for $6,500.
Got the silver out of a burn scar in Northen California. Paid $2000. Working on flipping her now.
Saw this one on Craigslist and was at the gate first thing the next morning.Got them down to $2,800.
Been in her a few days now. She's cranking but doesn't run.
Going through the basics.
Pulled the trailing plugs, squirted some oil/seafoam in L1/L2, grabbed a belt and started pulling.
She rolled right over. I got three whoop whoops, I was satisfied that I could move forward.
Handcranked at the starter to clear the 'mist' out the plug holes, put the plugs back, checking the lead timing mark against the distributor set - TDC pointed right a T1.
Put a jumper on the fuel pump and turned her on, heard the pump huffing and puffing.
Pulled the fuel in line and cranked. Got plenty fuel - though it looked like cream soda - luuuuuv cream soda.
Gonna drain the tank tomorrow. Got two new filters, one for the rear, and a clear one under the hood - in case I want to see what's going in down the road.
Checked all the fuses on the driver side strut.
So far so good on all things.Somebody left a coil on the passenger side floor. Someone was trying something.
Sold as 'won't start'. We'll see about that.
Even came with an OEM bra.
I had one of those on my 85 in 91.
