Street/Drag Project
Traded an old boat for this car. Always wanted to put a large motor in a small car. Goal is to run in the local 1/8 bracket class with speeds around 7.50 to 8.00. I have a 383 stroker that was built for a camaro before it was wrecked from a rear end accident. It put out about 550 HP
Will pair it with a TH350 tranny with no NOS and foot brake no delay box.
Will be getting the body in good shape before I start with the conversion. So in the mean time I will be driving it with the 12A installed. Currently working on a carb rebuild and removal of all of the emmissions crap.
The body seems to be in great shape with the exception of some rusty areas. The storage bin area is a total loss. SO I might use a new/used storage bin sheet metal.
The font 3/4 of the car has very low amounts of rust. Just some on the doors along the bottom.
The back 1/4 of the car has some rust but not overwelming. Mainly in the truck area and along the seal under the rear hatch. (see pictures)
Here is the before picture of the truck area. Had to completly rebuild the lip that the trim sit on and make some major patches.

Here is the after photo after I replaced with patches and primed and sealed it with some undercoating. Currently not worried about the overspray because the car will eventually be completely stripped and painted. This is my first time ever trying to attempt body work.
Here is some damaged area's from behind the rear 1/4 glass.
Both sides were damaged.
Not finiished yet.
