CO On the road again

After about six years of on again off again work, the spark yellow '78 I have had since new is on the road again. I'm actually using it as my daily driver. However, I'm still chasing a few issues listed below. Please feel free to weigh in on any or all topics.
  • The right blinker is flashing fast but all the bulbs are good and the 4 way works fine.
  • I have to drive the car with about 1/4" of choke or it bucks on acceleration.
  • Gas mileage sucks.
  • The brake pedal throw is longer than it should be but the brakes are working fine and pedal is very hard, eventually. Not a bleeding issue.)
  • When she is driven then sits for an hour it starts hard and runs rough for a while.
  • I can't find a front license plate bracket.
Thanks for the help
Herb

Sounds like corrosion somewhere on the right blinker wiring.. Either front or back blinkers. Excessive resistance will cause a faster blink.

All the other things probably have the same cause (aside from the license plate issue). Seems like you might have a vacuum leak. Probably in the booster.

What is bad gas mileage? 15mpg or less? Driving with the choke on will do that.

Congratulations! If I have it... I’ll dig up my plate frame and get some pictures and measurements over the weekend. It looks like it could be reproduced with a pop rivot gun and some steel stock from Lowe’s. Poor fuel economy is subjective. Numbers would help if you could.

Way to go Herb!!! It's been a long string of help questions but being back on the road with the ole girlfriend must be very gratifying. Isn't there a threaded plunger btw the brake pedal and the brake master cylinder. Would adjusting it there to make it longer take up some of that excess travel? I also think there may be a bolt on the pedal box, to adjust how far back out the pedal arm travels.
