If weather permits on Monday I will be cranking away at cleaning up the engine bay and putting the steering all back together. I will also take update pictures of what it looks like now since it has sat for almost a year now.

I have a lot of work ahead of me but I'm sure even in the snow I can do this! No! I must Just gotta be careful with my engine cleaning forgot my oil pan was still off and some dust is on the bottom of the block but nothing damaging looking.

Please guys feel free to comment on what I should get started with first other then cleaning out the inside of the car so I can actually sit in it once again!

Then you will love this found a nice first gen for 1000 30mins away and I plan on taking her home this month if I don't need any parts other then my Gilmer pulleys from it she will live to drift side by side with this New one but I have to go check it out first and see what he did with it I noticed he had already done the rats nest and smog pump delete.

Other then That I can't wait to drive another one while taking my time with the older one.

On Monday I'm going to try and drop $200 on my New Rx7 so he won't sell it to anyone told him I would pay him the rest later and that I wanted to secure my purchase.

Other then that I haven't touched the brown mazda because I still need to find a place to store all my extra parts and pieces safely without anything getting wet or damaged

Get a Miata... much better backup for an RX7 than a Saab.

Like an rx7 with half power. But they nab groceries pretty well when you are tinkering on the 7.

Well I'm a little mad the guy who wanted to sell me the rx7 never showed up to meet. Neither did give me a call or text message to let me know he wasn't interested in selling any more so I wasted time and gas driving to him.

Other then that the weather has been pretty decent if it's gonna hold up tomorrow I will be snagging one of my carbs in preparation to send in to Jeff20B so I can finally get him to hog one out for me. After that I need to save up a little and grab me a new radiator.

Also does anyone by chance know the sizes to front end of the car like for the steeilring set up I could not find any of my nuts and bolts and need to know what metric sizes they were so I can just replace with new stuff.

so my own brother did this to my Rx-7 that did absolutely nothing to him so long as that dumb idiot doesn't show his face in front of me for awhile until I can fix it I won't do anything rash.

I apologize for all the swearing I was surprised and mad at the same time and couldn't figure out how to put it into emotion :/ but I took this video before I found out what happen.

It's been a long time since I've made an update but I still have the Mazda. I have been busy working so time really hasn't been a factor for me but on to some good news I finally got the engine running normal but the Carb is not feeding any fuel what so ever so I had to feed the engine fuel at the same time to get it started but she's firing right and almost stayed running on just a drip feed.

I still can't find the rest of my parts for the front end steering and so I never fully put it back together even if I get the car running it won't matter still couldn't drive it. When I get more time ill try to figure out what's wrong with this carb and why it's not giving me fuel even when the bowls are filled with fuel.

I got it running for a quick bit so the carb is feeding fuel now so she will run but my RPMS stay at 1.8k or at 2k so not sure where to go from here.

That car is running almost exactly like mine, my front rotor has a compression loss issue. Could be stuck apex seals. Check the videos in my build thread. Its doing the exact same thing.

First check to see if both rotors are firing. Do both sides of the header pipes get warm?

Then I'd clean the bjesus out of that base plate. I don't think you are getting fuel at idle. Also, make sure you don't have a hellatious sized vacuum leak.

Without backfiring or glowing headers I would almost throw out a timing issue, but are you sure the ignition is even working at all? You might not be getting good fire on trailing or leading spark. Next time you get it running like that un plug one of the ignitors on the distributer. The car should shudder or shut off, if it doesn't then there is your problem.

I found out why the motor was firing improperly I didn't make sure the Distributor was completely tightened down and it destroyed Cap but the Rotor is still in good shape it bent the tabs in the cap and chewed them up a bit.

I also ordered new nuts so I can finally put the Steering back together and after all that make sure all my fluids are topped off and bleed the brakes and adjust my clutch and road tune the carb.

after I had capped off all the Vacuum ports the Idle went all the way back down to around 1300-1500 rpms hopefully when I make my block off plate that will help solve the rest of the issue.

Well it's been a very long time I do still have the car however it's just been sitting I got promoted at work and have had little time to touch the car.

I do have a bigger budget now and i'm currently saving to rip my motor out and to have it sent off for a rebuild meanwhile when I get time on my days off i'm going to search for my remaining grounding issues.

I probably won't find all of them but hopefully I can fix what I can probably after a couple of months i'll see what I can afford in the way of a rebuild obviously on top of that I need my carburetor rebuilt and tuned for normal driving conditions again.
