After some debate of the LAG that I was getting after the TII trans swap, I decided to redo the turbo with a smaller hotside. A .63 AR to be exact. All that I can say is holy sh$t!!!!

I also finally got my hands on an FD upper intake, throttle body, compression tube, and TPS. I took her for a little drive last night and she runs so much smoother now. And lets face it. The FD intake looks so much better

Oh, but there is more!!!!!
After some cleaning and finalizing. I just shortened the stock FD compression tube for now, till I get the funds for nice polished aluminum later.

I have seen dyno comparisons with just the upper intake and throttle body difference. Almost no change in overall power. The interesting thing is where the power band is with the FD intake. It moves the power band lower. If you are running a turbo that does not hit full boost till 4500 rpms or higher, you would probably hate the FD intake. There is not hardly any restiction to help a laggy turbo out.
With my turbo hitting full boost by 3000 rpms, I'm loving it!!!!!!

Unfortunantly I have not. I would love to, but I have two little ones that take up the majority of my time. I'm just glad that most of the work that I have done on my car was before the kids
My little boy gets scared riding in the FB. Just sitting still, revving the engine to hear the BOV scares him!

It's definitely an awesome event. I keep going back in hopes of Mazda bringing back the 787b overseas to unveil it. I've gone 3 or 4 years and its been fun every time.
That's great! HAHA It probably doensn't help that you have a huge Transformer logo on your hood.
I'd be scared too hahaha
