Thanks man,i didn't modify it.I bought a new oem illuminate **** from mazda.Did they stop selling it?i own it about 2-3 years ago..

 

I did found only these so far...will search in some more boxes....

As far as I know the RX8 came with a 6 speed here in the states too, I have the oem RX8 shift **** with the 6sp pattern and it doesn't illuminate.

 

Ah,so it must be for european models only with 5 speed...i thing i bought it from ebay .co.uk...

 

Today i did finally finish the new carpet and the cloth under of it....

 

Also the center console is ready.....

 

Some progress and my new 2 din pioneer sound system...

 

Also finished the holes for the stereo,gauges,window switches and boost controller....i'm going to use polyester to finalized it and paint it.....

I did search but i'm missing the 2 brackets at the bottom of the seat...i did found only the upper hinges ,i'm going to use only the down oem seat and make a new piece for the back of the passengers...your car has not back seat from the factory?

 

Factory backseats are very rare in the USA I found the seats but none of the hardware to mount them ill buy the clips and the back seat belts and any other back seat parts you can find from you if your willing to sell

 

Ok,tomorrow i will visit a friend who owns a parts car and will see what he has...i know for sure my rear seatbelts are not in a good shape...

I'm from thessaloniki....i went to my frind but he is at the sea for the weekend....will try again on monday....i i did finished with the polyester at the center console.... i will try colors soon....to see what mach with the blue alcantara....

 

All adapters of the gauges are ready,still working the center console,i did start to try colors for it....black rejected.....chrome rejected....

After the summer holidays back to work.....finaly the new alcantara roof is ready....

 

Today finally arrived from australia the brand new oem steering column cover....also decide that all plastik trims are going to be carbon painted....

 

I'm lovin the material on the dash, very exotic looking. Carbon fiber accents will compliment and complete the whole thing. You're going to "paint" the CF? 3M makes some very nice CF wrap material in an array of colors and patterns. You might want to look at some of those options.

BTW, what are you doing with your old stock steering wheel? Would you want to sell it? I'd be interested.

 

Yes,i was thinking about 3M too about the carbon fiber paint....
About the steering wheel you can have it
