Stripping rust off

Primed

2 coats of Rustoleum truck bed coating

Been scrubbing the bottom of the car so I can hit a few surface rust spots. Then its prime and paint. When that is done the tank/fuel pump, lines and rear axle are going back in for the final time..

Fuel
glad to see you back at it. Nice job on the tank. I have to start thinking about my fuel setup as well. I have an aluminum tank right now and I cannot weld it. I'll look at a camaro tank or something similar.

I am a Chiropractor. But I have been building motorcycles/cars with my dad and uncle since I was 7.. My dad was and Electronic engineer and my uncle was a car, bus, truck, fleet mechanic and an AP for continal airlines. Plus I ran a auto repair shop for five years..
Scott1982 says"I am thinking I have parts to redo my 12a but I really do question whether I want to go with a 4 or 6 with more power, better support (parts) and gas mileage "
If you are like me and just want a nice car to drive on the street, there are some pretty nice 4 and 6 cylinder engines that will serve you well in stock form.
Certainly a well built V6 is a better balance for a 2400 pound car than a V8. I recently sold an FB that I drove for about 9 years with a Ford 5.0, a very nice driving car. I recently did another FB with a 2.0 liter straight six turbo Skyline motor and 5 speed - a much better match for the car, and I am getting almost 30 mpg in all around driving. I would rate this as the nicest driving engine I have ever owned.
Very few fabricators have the knowledge to do what our chiropractor friend has done with his suspension, and it is very rare to find someone who understands the rocket science in both the suspension and the engine. I rely on my friends for engine expertise, and everything I know about suspensions I learned from reading Carroll Smith's books. This car should have some serious potential on the street and on the track. We all look forward to your test drive report.
I have often wished I had a chiropractor handy after working on my car - if you have ever had to work on the wiring under the dash of an FB, you know what I am talking about!

Still at it..
I cut the throttle body mount off and flipped it 180° sightly to the right and down a little more..
Made a throttle cable mount and cable..
Pulled all the wiring from the stock engine out of harness.
Re wrapped the harness .
Starter, alternator (cs130),Oil pressure/temp gauge, Reverse switch/lights and tachometer hooked up.
Mounted and wired the MSefi to the relay board and wired the WBo2 controller.
Battery behind the passenger seat compartment. (ran #1 cable)
Finished the exhaust. with the biggest muffler I could stuff in.. Dynomax 17698. 18" x 8.375" case 3" in/out.

Sorry about the pics.. I hosted my pics at webshots and they are no longer around. Flickr has a limit. So I am looking for a solution. Does this form have a gallery to host pictures?
