Whatever fabric you choose, make sure it's UV-resistant for use in cars. Lot of upholstery fabric out there meant only for in-the-home use - - fades in a couple years if you use it in a car. Been down that road.

I really like Mach Green; I'd do that color if I ever did a full-strip repaint & reupholster. Much as I love my Tornado Silver, the Mach Green is a standout.

From your selection the first plaid choice is the best.

I also like the green plaid as well, if you got it in a marine fabric or something similar to resist UV rays and cracking, ripping, or tearing. Every time I see that SA I swear it's animated..

You may want to actually get it dressed in color first then put some cloth samples inside. Gives you a better idea of the finished look and feel. Too much of a single color can be overkill.

Look for a predominantly brown plaid style.
Like what Banzai said too much of one color can be over kill.
the '70's were all about earth tone colors so the brown is period correct.
Also I have an ad from '78 showing brown seats, so the brown was stock coloring.

ok so Ive had a few set backs.. went to checkout my paint and unsurprisingly they dont have the formula for G4 mach green..kinda figured this would happen so instead im goin with a similar color green with envy! like on the new dodge chargers which is beautiful but not original this **** cost $350 for two quarts!!! damn! but the 7 needs it.. `and I also got a question I cant find any rx7 fender mirrors has anyone ever tried the datsun truck ones?? they look very similar and only $20.. ether way its rly all I can find! so im gonna give em a shot ether way its just 20 bucks..

From the 79 Factory Service Bulletin. Color formulas for Dupont, Ditzler, Sherwin Williams and R & M are listed.

Strangely, G4 (Mach Green Met.) is listed in with the 1980 colors, not the 79 ones. Its also only listed under R &M, not any others. In the 79 colors, G2 (Pearl Green Met.) is listed under several brands. Not sure how different / close this is.

Synergy green! Wicked awesome color.
I had planned to paint one of my FBs synergy green but other projects took over and I sold the car. Tested it out on the header panel and it looked sick! Would still love to paint one of my FBs that color sometime.

Good luck!
