Thanks for all the feedback. I am getting close to firing it up. Dave and I put in most of the interior last night and got the throttle connected. We took a spare S4 cable and stacked a few washers behind the bracket on the manifold till it was tight. Now that it's set, Ill measure the thickness and make a spacer for it and powder coat it.
Naturally, the S5 body harness I bought didn't have the 2 pin plug for the S5 alternator so I will have to source one of those and make up a harness for the alternator, oil level, and oil pressure senders and I will be done with the wiring.
I also lost the small clip that keeps the VDI actuator on the rod and now that the manifold is on, I can't measure the shaft diameter to pick up a clip for it. I stared at the S5 parts manual till I was dizzy and still didn't see a picture of the clip anywhere so I will have to figure out something to keep that on.
I have about 300 more pictures of the project that I haven't uploaded yet from as far back as March so I will try to get after them over the weekend.
