Looking quite respectable! Beginning to look like a car again. I see quite a bit of rust in the passenger B-pillar/rocker area which will be fun to fix. How are the commonly rusted wheel well areas at the torsion bar mounts? Have you been able to identify any other areas that need rust/rot repair and prioritize them?

Thank you guys for the compliments about my work! Very flattering!

There is a lot of rust on this car. To me, its a parts car but the owner bought the car practically new and it was her first car so she feels as though it cannot be replaced. I understand the feeling and attachment so I told her I would do my best to bring the car back. I have a rusty shell that I can use sheet metal off of, so I guess all I can do is strip it down and try to replace the metal.

That car is fairly well gone. It'll be quite a project. Good luck

We'll see how bad it is once I strip the car down. I'm feeling its going to be tough to bring this one back.

Once the snow stars clearing up I will start making more progress on the car. Currently out of garage space to work on it indoors.

The customer has given a green light on a lot of things. Going to be making some progress on the car here. She has had me hold off on doing anything with the car as she was undecided what route she wanted to take with the car. Will continue to post pics of the car as things start to unfold.

I'm trying to stay optimistic here though. The customer wants the car back on the road as the car has sentimental value to her, being her first car and all. I think it will be fun to do. Going to try and make some progress on the car over the next couple days and will toss up some pics.

is that hyperbole or are you being serious? to my eye, it doesn't look so bad from the photos, but (1) they are photos, and (2) keep in mind i have banned myself from ever trying bodywork again, because i suck at it.

If I can do it (see my tagline above my profile pic), then ANYONE can do it! I'm really looking forward to the pictures of your progress. It will be an adventure, and the experience you pick up from this should help with your famous '80.

How did this one turn out? Did she have you finish it, or scrap the project?
