I’ve done a bit of an introduction in the new members part but I suppose I should start a build thread seeing as I am going to be doing some work to the car but I’ll just go back over it.

So I’m going to get into it but long story short I’ve recently bought an 84 FB..

I remember seeing the zero f**ks given rx7 on YouTube years ago and kind of fell in love with it but I can’t remember ever seeing one for sale in the UK so had never considered getting my hands on one. I’ve driven a friends stock FD and obviously wanted one but I don’t have FD more so I kept doing eBay searches hoping an FC would come and I could afford to get one of those but even then...

So last week I was doing eBay searches out of boredom and came across the little FB. The advert was pretty vague but it’s done 84,000 miles and has spent the last 2 years of its life in a barn and it started and seemed solid and it started. I wasn’t looking to buy anything but things happened and I sent him a deposit to secure the car then I picked it up at the weekend.

On the face of it the car was as described. It runs, maybe not great yet but it runs. The body work is pretty solid apart from a few surface rust spots. It’s had a respray in white at some point of its life and also comes in some wire wheels which will be coming off and replaced with something more suitable once I figure out what pcd I have to play with. It definitely has some type of exhaust on it because it’s loud! But I’m not sure how far back it goes yet. From the looks of it someone’s done some wiring so I need to look more into that as I’ve done some reading into the rats nest.

I’m hoping to get some time on it this weekend to have more of an in-depth look at what I’ve got myself into but my immediate plans are give it a service and change all the things that need changing and make it road worthy and then the fun stuff can begin.
