IMSA Sa22C track car build up
After seeing so many cool Group C /IMSA cars over the years and wanting to get back into some tracking racing on a club level lead me to building this car.
Inspiration for build this car has come from these types of Sa22c racers:
It really started when I bought the Simmons 15x11 & 15x9 V4 of Ausrotary a few years ago as they were going cheap $400 :bounce2: and then saw that he had moulds for a Racing Beat style IMSA class which is the USA version of our Group C in Aus which I leased of him & got 2 kits punched out locally, It was happening now!
I've been putting parts aside for the past few yrs as they came up at a cheap/decent price.
2wks ago I was finally able to get my hands on a S2 Rx7 roller without doors locally in Sydney which is becoming hard to get these days I noticed after missing out on two others.
Prior to starting anything:
Didn't take long to strip this thing down to the basic requirement..
Later that day we taped the kit on to get a look see:
On the weekend I fitted a spare passenger door I had sitting there and last wk was able to get a free drivers door that needed rust tidy up though came good and since fitted two good doors up along with the number plate eliminator from the USA SA22c models and the Group C rear wing I sourced from Ausrotary also.
P.s If anyone wants a kit I can get them made for $1150 plus shipping
