Yeah baby!
Do you have a copy of the feature Don Sherman wrote on the RB California Roadster? I've been thinking of posting it in one of the FC threads but some of them might get bent out of shape...
Great write up

I agree, that is why I picked up the re-speed car, and a 79 with the IMSA Mk I on it, and it looks like I am working on finalizing the deal on a FB GTO kit as well. I would love to repo the daytona car and have a couple of shells that would be perfect however I am a stickler to get the body right and althought the one in Australia is close it isn't right.

i'm not sure what they used for brakes/hubs/struts back in the day (nissan Z stuff looks promising), how ever these days, RE-Speed has a kit to put the FC hubs and brakes on the 1st gen strut, which is way easy.
gives you a 5x114.3 bolt pattern.
i dunno about the GTO cars, but C&D tested the racing beat 1980 GTU car, and it was running 16x10 and 16x12 wheels....

Good looking build. If you guys want the articles, I could make my own personal PDF's of them, as I work for Car and Driver. Let me know.
