ignition condenser 1985 rxy WHERE does it go?

ok so I just rebuilt my 12a my first! put it back in cant remember where to put the condenser the book says behind the distributer but I only see one bolt and the condenser does not fit here I tried with the one I have and the back ripped off it getting a replacement from atkins for $5 yay!

and I know my timing is off now as well need to take off that pesky inspection plate and set the flywheel.

BTW I LOVE this site I have learned so much and used the search function for hours these past few days while rebuilding my first Rotary.

Thanks in advance wish I had recorded the build process to post here almost all my oil seals were shot but the front and rear main seals were in perfect shape they looked the same as the brand new ones I replaced them with I hear 246000 miles will do that to oil seals.

since im here

I have a hose on the air intake of my 12a cant find where it goes. it is about 2-3 inches in length and is the same speed as the hoses going to the evaporative control solenoids on top of the engine but it doesn't reach anything. am I missing something? or is this suppose to be for like the power steering that I don't have?

You dont need the condenser unless you listen the radio a lot. It mounts to the distributor itself.

Check for vacuum leaks and verify it is all routed properly. When in doubt, delete it all.
