1985 RX7 GS Project Car

Good day everyone, I was hoping someone here could give me a bit of insight as to what I am working with.

When I started working on my RX7, I put a new battery in the car and the engine turned over but it would not catch. So I figured the ignition system was no good, so doing some testing I discovered one of the coils was no good. I ended up replacing both coils, distributor rotor and cap, spark plugs and wires. After doing all that and a bit of trying, the car roared to life after 10 years in a thick white smoke. After I let it warm up, I gave it a little bit of throttle and noticed hesitation before the engine rev'd up sputtered and stalled. Tried starting it again and the engine would not catch.

Would my next focus be the carb?

Any input is greatly appreciated, as I am new to rebuilding cars.

Check to make sure you're getting fuel to the carburetor. Cars that have been sitting a long time are notorious for rusty cruddy gas tanks and lines which will plug up your filters (and carb if the filter is missing or bad).
