Also won the Impul Aero disks, they're going to be so cool for the ultimate 80's flavour!

Thanks for the comments.

What's your suspension setup? If you don't mind me asking. Great car!

It did have a weld together coilover kit with some type of bilstein inserts in the front and just cut springs and stock shocks in the rear with no sway bar.

Changing over to Nissan R31 front brakes, hubs and strut housing and mating them with powerbymax AE86 coilovers for the front and rear.

How much were the rear springs cut? Just wondering.

I was running aftermarks that were roughly cut in half.

My rear end binds it pretty bad in a straight line. lol

Yeah, makes sense. I'm trying to figure out the suspension for my 7, so that's why I'm asking all these questions love the stance on your car, pretty much what I'm looking to achieve

My 12a finally sold so will give me some extra money to start on suspension which is going to be interesting to say the least.

What's involved with pulling the top half of the inlet manifold off a 13bt? Do you have to take off throttle body and everything or can It all come off in one hit? I just need to see where some wires are going.

I was always able to just take off the 4 nuts and 1 bolt, disconnect the throttle linkage, and just lift it up but i was haltech with no rats nest. If you are tearing into the motor that has the m.s. ecu then just yank it apart anyway, you need to make sure its wired right. i bought a haltech e8 one time with ls1 coils one time and slapped it on because it was a really clean harness build. 2 motors later realized the guy had the coils wired incorrectly. it should be super simple wiring stuff, 4 injector wires, one ait temp mounted before the throttle inlet, a water temp, a map sensor the cas, and the coil packs. this is assuming the motor is running a cas and not a 12a dizzy. make sure all the wires for the injectors, coil packs, and cas is done correctly or your stand alone experience will be painful. if you arent tuning this car yourself then figure out who will be and ask them what ecu they feel comfortable with, sell the m.s. and buy whatever it is they tune with and your life will be a lot easier. let me know if you need anything.

I can't place them exactly, but there's something about them that makes my memory say "1970's Opel GT or Corvette wheels." They for-sure make me think of performance wheels I saw on hot-rods growing up back then.

Similar, shallower wheels on this 1970 Opel GT at Hemming's.

Similar to American Racing Ansens, too.

I bought a set of what we used to call "slots" for my 1st '85 GS back in 1988. They were American Racing Indy's 14x6 4x110. They looked great.

Those 14x7 meshes you're getting from Japan look AMAZING. There just aren't many good wheels in that pattern in the states right now.

Im switching to 114.3 rather then 110 so wheels are alot easier to find, still expensive though unless you can ****** up a deal.

going to start the fun task of stripping whats left of the interior tomorrow, start going through the factory wiring and remove what I don't really need then start wiring in the EFI, mainly just relays etc.

Wiring on the motor looks fine, TPS just wasn't plugged in. Injectors, CAS and the rest seems fine, I just need to do the coil wiring. Painted the motor black, looks pretty cool

Only issue I am having now is I appear to be missing a hose of the back of the upper intake at the throttle body. Looks like it might've been for coolant or something? No idea where it routes too, I'll take a picture tomorrow and see if you guys can help me out.

Also just bought this :

and also got my R31 skyline stub strut/lca/stub axles so I can start pulling them down and get ready to start making new coilovers, all I need to do is weld a locking coller in the rear top hat for the pillowball mount or something.

Cage gets fitted in about a week or two also.

yes you can block those off, theres a spot that comes off the coolant neck and spot directly across from it where you can just put a hose across from one side to the other and then the spots on the throttle body just leave open.

not the greatest image but you can see the hose that crosses from the back to the fron right by the lower intake

this is an fd motor but you can see the jose sticking straight up and then if you look at the back of the coolant neck where i hook up to, that was the original spot for the coolant to run to the throttle body, the coolant was for the thermal wax to help with idle if im not mistaken.

I literally just wrote something about the FC top hats and AE86 coilovers for the fronts this morning. Post pics on what you did.
