swapped out the starter with one in the parts bin and it fires up right away, even has that cool turn over sound that I have not heard in 5-6 months :)
old one, something tells me the gear teeth should stick out further into the opening https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-A...221_133400.jpg |
Are you still using the BNR Stage one? I want to send mine the have it upgraded
Are you happy with how quick it spools up, how it behaves driving in the city? |
yeah the turbo is great, I'm currently having an issue where it wants to boost more then my electronic boost control should be letting it.
was trying out a helmet cam mount |
All the awesome mods and still running that silly stock steering wheel... tsk tsk ;)
Car looks/sounds awesome as always. How much boost creep are you getting?? |

I like the video, road looks fun. This will keep me motivate to continue to move my SE project forward. Hoping to stack the keg this weekend
|
Just rewatched part of the vid and was looking at your wideband, damn man that thing runs rich! The richest I see on mine is mid 11's, cruising at anything under 70mph is 15+. Weird

Awesome looking car so far, will be keeping tabs on the project

Steering wheel swap is easy. You just need to find the correct hub to fit the FB and the nardi's bolt pattern.
I have Momo's on both my FB's and the hub fits with no issues, horn works, turn signal cancel still works etc. If you can't find a nardi hub to fit on the FB you can always get a momo hub and an adapter ring that makes the Nardi wheel bolt up to it (the bolt patterns are different) Once you have the correct parts its just yanking the old wheel off and bolting the new one on, it's a 21mm socket to get the old wheel off. :) |

Leave the nut wound on a few threads when you yank the stock wheel off... to avoid smashing yourself in the face with it   Isaac |
After rereading your build thread, I have a question. When your car put down the 303hp number, which BNR were you using and at what psi was it. I'm trying to decide wether to get the BNR stage one or stage two for my SE build

Thanks, stage 2 it is. Haven't seen any posts lately, car still preforming?
|
I just love the engine color.
|
yeah cars works ok I guess. I would really like an expert to come button up all the drive ability stuff and a new tune would be scweeet
|
I was afraid of hearing some thing like that. I'm guessing the Tuner takes care of the power pulls, than the owner has to make every thing else work. When I read posts in the ECU forum, I see soo much I'm going to need to learn. Everything work on my SE, pre swap. I want it all to still work post swap, I believe its going to be a long road

Aaron, if you drop the $$ on the pc connection box for your ecu ill dyno tune down here on our dyno.
|
Matt that sounds fun!
pc connection box? are you talking about this piece? FC Datalogit - Tuning Software for your APEXi Power FC |
bought a datalogit today :)
|
Man that looks Beautiful.. Wow. iv just bought a 82 as well , and this has me motivated!!!
Good Stuff man |
Hey that's some TOP advice about the steering wheel, hahahaha.
sounds like its from experience too. OW Classic I Will remember this peice of info! |
Can you send your friend to Florida to help me build my 13b 6 port?
|
looking forward to this weekend! going to meet up with Matt and re-do the fuel mapping and maybe some dyno runs. Already made good progress today too. I never had the TPS installed correctly since the engine was built  Inside the tps there are a couple "U" shape slots that are turned by the throttle body linkage, I had the throttle body linkage slotted inside the U when it should be on the outside. Hard to explain, but before the tps showed the throttle closed voltage to be 0.00 and closed throttle shows it is 0.45 on top and 1.00 on bottom, WOT is 4.37 top and 4.95 bottom. Throttle position sensor works great now :)
Yay for learnering much smarter stuff today |
