Thank you for the detailed writeup and pictures!
I started looking for an SA last week and happened to find a 1979 GS in the same color. While doing my pre-purchase resrearch, I came across your amazing story. Mine has been kept original though somewhat neglected. This thread is going to guide me through the restoration process.
