RHD FD single turbo conversion
RHD FD single turbo conversion
Hey guys this might be a long one, but i'll try to keep it updated as we go along even though i'm not near my ride. My 92' R1 RHD is going to be going under the knife soon to pull out the stock twins. I'll put a list of current mods and what she will be getting over this next month.
Current:
Greddy V-mount IC/Radiator/Intakes
RP Competition Fuel Pump
Apexi Power FC
HKS Super turbo exhaust
Greddy FV bov
This months work:
S360 turbo (decided to go with this instead of EFR 8374 for my needs)
Custom Downpipe, turndowns, wastegates, oil feed and retrun lines
Custom twin scroll dual gated manifold
Air pump removal and block off plates
Angel Motorsports AST
Dyno tune
So hopefully this turns out well. Angel Motorsports comes highly recommended and although it has taken longer than I thought, i'm not really in a rush since I wont be back from deployment for another 6 months. I will be most likely going with the FEED Afflux GT3 body kit. Just having a hard time choosing paint color since my cars front and rear seats are red leather, and I wont be painting the engine bay until I try a color for a bit and decide i'm happy with it. In the meantime attached are some pictures of the manifold that was finished yesterday.

Sorry I haven't updated lately. I didn't see much interest, but either way there hasn't been too much progress. It's at Angel Motorsports right now, and they reported there was a fitment issue with the manifold and they're making another one. Mike said he was getting new flanges this week, and the dyno desktop was getting fixed at mustang dyno but the build should be complete by the end of the month. Whenever I get some more pictures or if I get any videos i'll let you guys know. I'm currently on deployment and I return aug/sep time frame so i'm hoping to come back to a nice complete conversion. All I want in addition to this I think is a new AC condenser and piping to fix my AC and maybe a water injection kit just for reliability i'm not trying to push more boost or anything. I will street port and rebuild (currently 48k miles on the originaly engine) at some point when i'm a bit more stable as i'm in the process of selling my 14 WRX and buying a 18 Civic Type R for my daily.
