My NA 20B in FD project...

At idle - when warming up, it's fairly stable and smooth with an occasional hiccup but after driving her around a few days, it does have a little problem catching itself and not stalling when I come to a stop - and after warm she hunts for idle a little too. and it's a VERY VERY rough tune right now with that let's get put some miles on her and sort out things more things until I can schedule a proper tune.

so, the project isn't dead!!! hahaha... a few months ago - like 6 wks before DGRR I lost #3 Rotor - no compression. torn engine down, took out all 3 rear side seals. my timing was not correct and i was messing with it so I have no one to blame but myself. but after more months than preferred, the engine is back together and now i'm dressing it to be reinstalled. just waiting for some tools now to help, because i didn't think about ordering them in the past 6 months to be prepared! hahaha

and as of now, engine is in the car and running. I have a little over 700 mi on the new rebuild. she fired off the first try! and she's now at body shop to get the body kit installed... and i'll get to installing some wire loom to tidy things up:

Really looking good. Can't believe you got it here on your own more or less. The 3rd rotor bearing gets a lot of e-shaft wobble. The balancing of the rotating assembly needs to be spot on. The 3rd rotor is what goes bad in 20b's.

With these projects, there's so much trial and error. If you don't have error, you'll never learn anything. I accidentally blew a rotor on my 20b a few years back because I accidentally crossed the crank pick up connectors after removing the engine. Luckly, there wasn't any internal damage and I needed new apex seals.

so I would like to ask the folks who have been following this build and/or just stumbled upon this thread...
The car is almost "done" now... running, putting on miles... needs an oil change soon and still a little finishing clean up touches. I'm also waiting on my proper sized AW-7s to come back from WheelFlip in Cali... anyway, I'm enjoying the feel of the car. She smooth and loves to cruise, especially at 75 mph+ engine just running smooth... i love how the engine feels at WOT and cruising...
but as always, I have crazy ideas... the idea mainly is: do i want to enjoy the car as it is for a few months, and then pull the engine, throw a stock 13B back in the car and sell it to fund a mid-engine NA 20B project?? or sell the car with the 20B and pick up something else?
i would like to hear folks ideas and opinions...

Front engine. But I'm saving up to put a 3 or 4 rotor in one of these when they come out.

I havent been tracking it closely but most 20B swapped FDs do not seem to fetch as much as I would expect them to go for. I'd put the 20B in one of those RCR 917 kit cars if i had the time and space.
