Word of caution
I went to install my new rear view mirror today and upon adjusting it broke the windshield right beneath the base of the mirror. Pretty choked right now, but got to move forward. Sucks cause its a brand new windshield. The mirror adjustment pivot points were hard to move but didn't realize that i would crack the glass.

yeah, brand new right after the paint job. I blame myself really, i should have known that the pivot points were a little stiff, well quite a bit. Live and learn i guess.

Since breaking the glass, i need to life my spirits a bit so here is another couple pictures. The headliner restoration went well, my lack of experience resulted in a few creases but overall im happy with how it turned out. The suede i purchased wasn't really expensive but if i had my time back i think i would have purchased something that had a higher density foam backing vs. the open cell stuff that was on it.

Well. I just noticed this when I removed the front anti-sway bar mounts. After looking a old post of another person having this issue mine don't appear to be that bad yet. I'm pretty sure this car hasn't been tracked or autocross. What do you guys think. Weld it or put a brace on it and call it a day. The car won't see anything other than street driving for the remainder of it's life.

Alot of half finished work
I find this build in the middle of alot of mini projects due to awaiting parts, etc. But it's been awhile since i posted anything so mostly just pictures.
Hope you enjoy. I find as i get more into the build i'm becoming more particular.
I've been putting a lot of work into nickel plating all the OEM hardware which feels better then just sourcing new hardware such as nuts and bolts, brackets, etc.
The seats are OEM but i purchased a set of skins from a forum member and installed them last year.

Pictures drive me crazy, especially when they appear upside down. If you click on them they open up normally.
Also, the wheels are
Volk Racing TE37SL 18x9 with 255/35/18 and 18x9.5 with 265/35/18 pilot sports

Still going at it
Started installing the greddy V-mount setup today. Also, purchased some speedhut gauges. Done a mock up of the wheels, front suspension is almost complete, minus the speed sensor and brake line.

Well the cluster is the OEM 99 spec one that I got from rx7 boutique. I can take a few pictures of it if you like. The speedhut gauges look really similar to them, not sure how close the lighting will be.

Yeah I was considering it but I had already purchased the oem cluster so I wanted to put money into other things. I guess now the drawback is having two redundant gauges.. oem boost gauge and water temp. Water temp I don't mind having a redundancy in though.
Agreed, I don't trust my OEM oil or water temp gauges so I don't even have them functional. I want to move my AEM garages in the place of the stock gauges.

Yeah its going to be a project once I get the car up and running. I have the original oem cluster to destroy. Too bad I threw away the hood. Will have to source one out later down the road.

Complete Rear End Removed
Learned how to remove and install rear wheel bearings and press out hubs. Not as bad as i thought it was going to be. Pressed out Diff bushings and pressed in aftermarket ones (street). Painted the Diff and subframe with POR-15. Rear diff, replaced side seals. Noticed one axle was a little harder to get off from the hub and also to put a new hub back on. Maybe the splines are distorted a bit.

Painted and installed
Installing the diff by myself was a huge pain in the butt. Especially by yourself. One bolt would go in and the other would be offset, if i had hair it would have been pulled out, lol.
