My "Blue Devil" matchbox racer build 2.0

Thanks!
Small Update:
Car is still at paint, they are backed up and said this week it should be done the primer stage. It's quite a few weeks over due and I am missing a car show and more importantly a few track days... but getting it back right is more important. The weather lately makes it look like it wont hit the track until next season. Also the front undertray is not working with my subframe, so once I get it back, fitting that and ducting the rad, oil, and ps coolers will be on the list.
I did manage to pick up some heads from a friend of a friend who literally had them sitting around. PRC 215, .58cc, 675 springs and Ti retainers. He tossed in a set of Comp 7.450 pushrods as well, and was asking for a third of what it would cost new so I took them. I have a relatively tame cam 220/.550 so I am hoping this should give some nice breathing to the motor over my stock LS2's. The heads are at the machine shop getting jet washed and re-decked as I wanted the surface as even as possible and there were a few scratches here and there.
Might have some pics of the heads or car or both by end of the week

Went to the bodyshop for a look at the car before it heads in for paint, everything is primed now and all carbon parts have been test fitted with nutserts where mounting is made to keep things serviceable. I've seen too many bodykits mounted with self tapping screws.... barf, the FD deserves better then that.
Next week it should all be wrapped up hopefully as it is going into the booth on Monday, glass is coming mid week and then its just installing all the carbon parts and it will be time to bring the car back home to start mechanical tear down again. A new cam will be next on the list to match the heads and ITB, something with a much more aggressive cut this time.

I can't imagine the wave of hate I will if I put the RE-Amemiya AW7 rotary wheels on the car, I get enough flack for my rotary key that I have had forever heh.
Car is still in the paint shop, not thrilled on that... so I ordered a new cam, gaskets, lifters and fasteners. It is going to be one nasty motor when its all buttoned back up, can't wait to get the car back.

Some crappy phone pics until I can find some time with the SLR, been travelling for work too much and need some car time....
It looks pretty, but a long way to go still, I really need new wheels....
And interior, you can see how huge the hood cowl is, at least a quarter of the front visibility is gone from the cage+wink rally mirror+super low bucket seat...
Big thanks to all the dudes over at Ronin Speedworks and Ken over at Shine Auto for helping me bring the body parts together into one crazy package!
There is about 3.5" of ground clearance on the front, not terribly fun on these Canadian roads. Hopefully when I switch to 17s or 18s all around, the clearance will get a bit better as my coilovers are already maxed out. The gas filler is next on the list to tackle as well as ducting that front bumper, fun stuff!

Thanks for the comments!
I fully expect some hate on the hood, but it is what is needed to clear the ITB's. I think the sound and layout will balance out the hoods deviation from the clean look of the FD.
Next choice is do I re-barrel my RE-Amemiya AW7's to custom fit the body and take them up to 18's, or start over again looking for wheels...

i actually really like the way the hood looks with the rest of the car, Ronnin fenders are probably my favorite of all wide body kits. Smooth lines, that ITB system will be awesome, i looked into it once... way out of my price range, but a guy can dream! cant wait for a video to hear those monsters sing.

Not much to update as I have been too busy, or budget has been for the house or work, but some more progress should be happening over the off season.
The GF's dad came over and we did a full cut/polish on the car finally so it is looking how it should and is nice and smooth. Word in the ether is that my lips are finally coming for my wheels after god knows how many months, so I can get these Work wheels off and put my real ones on finally... after they get polished, anodized, assembled, and get tires...
Also a new full custom exhaust is being made, not custom as in some pipes, but as in we are fabbing the muffler itself and all the components the go with it. Like the body, engine and wheels, I am sure there wont be some fans of it, but it goes with the theme of the car and I think it will look badass.

*cough!
Been busy neglecting the FD, but should be working on it again soon, in the mean time these came back from the polisher all fresh and cleaned up. I need to take them to the machine shop for some final work before they go off to get anodized. Won't be posting sizes and offsets until they are back, assembled, sealed, and are test fitted for rubber...
Any guesses on the color?

Car is back in the shop, plan is to take care of the major items first which is exhaust, wiring, and hopefully ABS removal + BBK finally installed.
Also test fit the wheels if I get around to buying hardware.
The OBD2 plug wasn't responding, not the biggest deal though as the gauge itself still works and when I install the AEM the OBD2 port becomes useless anyways.
