CA married with 2 kids fd build thread enjoy

Well this is my 3rd fd
My first one was purchased in 2004 when I was 18 years old cw color

Sold it for a stupid reason

2010 purchased a 94 black fd loved it but sold it for a 94 supra tt

Flash forward to 2016 been married for 5 years and have 2 boys now 4years and 11months
Got married ,Bought a house have 2 kids now and enough money to purchase a fd agian

My build will be simple as I just love the rx7 and a nice build to take the car to cars and coffee

Just picked up a
1993 MB rx7 with 116k on the chassis and 6k on the rebuild that had awesome compression
110 front rotor
109 rear rotor
Original California car
I'm the 3rd owner of her

The car is a little ruff it will need a paint job and alot of little things

Ac needs to be recharged I hope
Missing some interior trim
Radio don't work
Missing driver side window switch
Passenger grab bar is broken
2nd owner put in black front seats
Needs a new front bumper as the original owner drilled in it for the front licence plate

Mods
Has coilovers
Some advance rims
Apexi dual catback
High flow cat
And a apexi downpipe

I plan to install a aluminum radiator
Change the exhaust and fix all other stuff in time so enjoy thia buil thread.

When I picked her up

Driving her home 80 miles away

All cleaned up

Cool sun shot

Hope you all enjoy on these journey with me.

Thanks guys, doing what I can on a budget, I want to keep the car as original as possible, so I started first by taking out the black seats and out back the original tan seats, yes I know tan yuck, but I like the classy look of it maybe it's my old age getting to me even though I'm just 30 years old.

I ordered a new sr motorsports smic and got a great deal on a apexi intake , so gonna I sta those next week.

I also took off the nrg wheel that came with the car and I had a nice nardi wheel sitting in my garage so I out that on.

Is that wheel off a JDM Miata? Looks awesome. I also like a clean tan interior, and I'm only 26.

So picked up some used apexi intake from a local buyer, yes I know why a hot air intake I don't know why.
I did the cheap bastered mod to it and I left the oem airbox bottom and cut the bottom of it and took out the foam by the radiator, so I do hope I will get some kind of cold air .

I just get some RE smic piping also and I ordered a SR motorsports smic and I will be install it today.

Still not sure if I should put back my stock air box.

I'm going to cover the hole were the airduct for the intercooler meets the intake so all the air just hits the intercooler, I might just put some racing tape on it, not sure what else to use.

Hi guys!!!!

Take the bottom of the airbox out, it's just wasting space and preventing airflow.

Even if I did cut the bottom of it were the only air gap space is for the cheap bastered mod?

I mean, everyone else runs it without the box, but if you're running the cheap bastard it may be beneficial. Certainly not aesthetic.

It's Fiberglass.

So I've finally found a oem Bose radio, that comes in tomorrow. So I'll finally have some tunes.

I've been thinking of purchasing a fujisubo brk exhaust since the racing beat is so expensive, and no one has hit me up on the apexi exhaust for a trade.

I sold the sr motorsports smic and thinking I'm gonna go arc bling or blitz for more of a sleeper look in the engine bay, I also took off the apexi intake and jut out the stock box back on for the sleeper look, just ordered a wix filter for it.

The car also came with a hks ssqv black one.

I also ordered a aluminum radiator that I will replace the stocker with once I order or find a new smic so I can do it all in one shot.

Cars and coffee this week so I'll post up some more pictures

Newest update, wife dad not doing so well so been busy with family stuff.
But today I had some time to take off the old radiator and fender that was damage prior to owning the car to get it fixed.

Finally got the old radiator out,I had a crack on the bottom of the radiator so I needed to get a new onei ordered a brand new fluydine radiator so pretty pump and hoping it will be a smooth install

all out

Fender off woohooo it was actually super easy to take off.
My buddy friends said he can fix it for $60 bucks

Kinda of a big dent

Teaser coming soon.

Also picked up a blitz smic on Craigslist for a pretty good deal
