As you can see, from my membership to RX7CLUB.COM, I've been a fan for a long time now. I've owned several RX-7s, mostly FC3S. I sold my beloved '88 RX-7 Turbo II before leaving to the Marine Corps. I've been dreaming of owning a FD since I was 15. Now 40, I finally bought one. She was a '93 unmodified Touring SSM with BBS. (Added stainless steel brake lines and 929 Master Cylinder conversion since I've owned her). I believe the FD3S is one of the most beautiful car that ever existed.
My FD3S currently sits shy under 28k miles. Yes, clean titled, 28k miles, and verified via CarFax. Because how low the miles is, I don't plan to do any extensive modding that would sway too far from factory. She passes California Smog. However, I am upgrading OEM parts to make it as reliable as it can be. I already have a FC thermoswitch, silicone vacuum lines, and fast Air Intake Temperature sensor en route. Looking into Efini Y pipe/Intercooler, PowerFC, etc. I already bought over $900 worth of OEM parts for upkeep.

Nice find. Definitely add a downpipe to your list of reliability mods. Keep your stock catted downpipe for emissions purposes when you need to renew. I'm a big fan of OEM+ which is what I'm doing with my car as well.
Congratulations on the new addition! Silverstone metallic is my favorite color. I remember the first time I saw one in person back when I was 17. It looks like you've got a really good starting point to go in whatever direction you choose be it further refining what you already have or descending into build craziness as many of us have. I will say that a mildly modified stock twins car is a hoot to drive and probably one of the best interpretations of a third gen.
What a beautiful example. If you're going with pfc i cant recommend enough the dl-340xb with fc-tweak. An absolute must have to keep your car running in peak condition on pfc. It's like magic.
cries in rotary... this just for upkeep with OEM parts.
This is one thing I stress to people that are in the market not just for RX7's but anything that is 25+ years old. Like you will see in my build thread and I repeat in my videos, its more of a restoration process than general maintenance and modification at this point. Rubber only lasts so long, especially if it hasn't been kept in a climate controlled environment (which most have not.) I have had "Fun" parts sitting in my closet for over two years because I've been tackling all the general maintenance items to make sure the car is 100% and up to the task of handling any of the go fast goodies, otherwise I am risking trouble and a possible engine failure. I am finally to the point where I can start installing my parts.
It has been awhile since I worked on normal cars. Pushed my shade-tree mechanic skills to the limit with these vac lines lol.. She ran beautifully, solid idle, and no vacuum leak. I drove her around the neighborhood, felt great.

If you don't know yet, search for Ray Crowe. He runs NuCar Mazda parts, owns 2 FDs and gives us a nice discount on real OEM parts. And excellent customer service.
