Kilo Racing 3 Rotor FD Conversion

Nothing much to report but wanted to be the 3,500 post. Says the above post is that one but not when you haven't clicked on the thread. Interesting.
Anyway, I am working on posting up the detailed do's and don'ts of a 20B swap. I also ordered some white Black Cat gauge dials as I have wanted to swap from black to white for some time. Hopefully they will be quality.

Dave, i just spent the past couple of days reading your saga. I love the attention to detail you have shown. You wouldn't happen to have any updated pics? Peace

^ that is awesome John. What he is referring to is going to the dyno. I'm having the car retuned for the altitude of the mountains. Well also see if the hi flow cat impacts WHP.
As for new pics I am planning on cleaning up the car on Monday and taking a bunch of shots on the dyno.

Found a few pics on the laptop. A still going to take some pics this week after I put the car back together and take it to the dyno on Tuesday. Monday's plan is to put the instrument cluster back together (failed in fixing the odometer - everything looks fine to me so I'll need to send it in for repair), changing the spark plugs out to 10.5s and then checking the fluids, securing (missing screws) and re-siliconing the front turn signals as they allow condensation in, and then general cleaning and tidying up for the dyne session. My front right headlight assembly is with superdan of this forum as he is replicating my sleepy eye design for general sale so there will be a hole there but I'll try to make everything else look decent so I can take some pics.
For now, five shots:
From last years DGRR Tail of the Dragon event:
One of the numerous waterfalls around the area:
At the event - the silver center section of the wheels have since been powder coated black - see above:
Shooting flames at the Tail:
And one of my favorites from a photo shoot about 1.5 years ago:

Well, got some done today in preparation for tomorrow's dyno session. For those of you in the Asheville area, we're going to Redline Performance at 1 pm.
Swapped out the 9's spark plugs for 10.5s. Topped off the fluid levels. Reinstalled my gauge cluster and put the dash back together. Re-siliconed the front turn signals to keep out the water - they had major gaps in them so hopefully they are now good to go.
It's raining so I put off washing the car until tomorrow.

Dyno day was great fun. First, the numbers:
At 18 PSI, the car made 675 WHP and 531 FT. LBS. and at 12.5 PSI 583 WHP and 435 FT. LBS. of torque. Here is a short video of a run at 12.5 PSI:

The car has plenty more in it as we let off the gas before the curves peaked out but I am very happy with the results.
I took some pics and have other videos but I left the camera in the car so I'll post up more when I go back to retrieve it. The dyne owner is also emailing me the actual dyne runs and I'll post these up when I get them. For now, I've added my camera shots.
Many thanks to Steven Osley for his awesome help and expert tuning services. He certainly is a great resource to have in the area and a great guy to boot. Your rotary need fixing? He's the man around here. Great to see you Jonathan and thanks for coming down. Your 20B build is first class and I look forward to seeing your numbers which I am sure will smash mine. Tray, thanks for hanging out as usual and I look forward to mapping out the roads around the Tail. Jason and son, great seeing you guys and don't fret the technical difficulties. Steve will work it out and I want an invite to the tuning and dyne session. Angel, good to meet you as well. RX3s rock!
Anyway, that's the quick update for now.

MoePwr- No. He said the shop is in the Asheville, NC area iirc.
David- Awesome numbers. Congrats. That's one thing I miss about the mainland... Not having to fly tuners to you! Looking forward to the videos.

David, your car looks and sounds awesome. I was hopping you take it up to 24psi, I'm sure it would've been impressive if the trans and rear could handle it lol. It was good meeting you and the rest of the guys. You are correct Steve is the man in our area. I would've never found him if it wasn't for me doing the deal with john.
thanks for lunch next time its on me.

^Thanks Jonathan. I should have mentioned this was with the hi flow cat on the car and with two mufflers. Definitely old man setup for sure. It's nice and quiet, smells less, but dumps to open atmosphere under WOT. A winning combo if you ask me.
If you look at the dyne graph (will post up the one the shop emails me when they do that so you can see better) you'll see what Jonathan is speaking about. The HP curve never drops so there certainly is more there. I'm really not much of a numbers guy though so cracking 700 isn't a priority for me. I just wanted a well tuned car that I can enjoy out on the roads. Frankly I am more impressed with the 583 HP at 12.5 PSI as this is much more than I thought would be available at that level. I also drive the car around at low boost (this level) so its going to be a lot of fun for sure. The 583 is 50 WHP more than I made the last time the car was dyno'd and I am thoroughly impressed.
