dont touch anything with heims or sphericals. Just the oem bushings you've replaced

In regards to the Zerk's fittings...since most of the arms are aluminum, is it better to use fittings made of a soft metal like brass or go with stainless steel?

After being in the Keys, going to a wedding and a buddy being sick...finally got started on putting parts back together....DGRR 2012 is right around the corner!

One of my other distractions is a buddy got the absolute baddest media blasting setup I've ever seen and I have spent untold hours just blasting parts...because I can.

So tonight I was going to officially do my Banzai Oil Pan Brace and IRP Motor Mounts...was about to put the sealant down and realize the new engine had no oil pickup tube. Wow...that would have sucked!

I believe I have a spare so I just mocked it up for now and will finish next week when I get back from another trip!

in regards to the fittings... I' don't think it matters too much which you choose.... I like brass fittings personally though.

Awwwwwwww yeaaaa! Actually started to put things back together last night. The goal is to be able to push the car around the parking lot by Saturday evening! Haha!

A picture of the blasting cabinet. I wish it wasn't in a dark room buy my buddy has this compressor from like the 1930's or some ridiculous time like that...it is beast mode. When you are in an industrial park and all the shops/mechanics in the park offer to buy it for 2 or 3 times what you paid for it...you have something unusual.

Some random blasted parts and my diff cradle + lower, rear control arm with Powerflex + Atomic Rex Bushings in. Actually put parts back IN the car! What a great feeling! Also took out my charcoal canister!

5 weeks until DGRR 2012! Time is getting tight!

Are the atomic rex bushings sealed, or have dust boots?

Also, What brass fittings are you talking about? Grease fittings are steel, they are just zinc coated.

You can run them with or without dust boots. Most people opt to put the stock dust boots back on which I intend to do.

The atomic rex pillow ***** do not have any type of cover, unless you put the stock covers on them. You aren't supposed to need the covers for that type of joint (just like how aftermarket trailing and toe arms don't have covers on the joints).

Rich you and the NYC crew need to grab dinner with Dale and I at the pizza joint a town over one night. I know last year you were doing the VIP dinner thing but come hang out with the peons this year, won't you?

Besides...I'm fairly certain the locals eyes popped out of their heads when 6 or 7 of us rolled up last year...God knows what they'd do with you guys..."New York City?". Haha.

Get that sucka in the CAR! Make it RUN!

Glad to see you're making progress. Bead blasting is fun, I had a blast cabinet for a while but Harbor Freight ones are sloooow work.

BTW, if you don't get your car running for DGRR you will be punched in the face.

In the face.

And remember, I'm one of the few people that can reach that high.

Also, we need a pic of both of us in an FD. Or an FD with a sunroof with our heads sticking out.

Dale

So last night I got bored and as I've been alluding to I thought it would be funny to kit up the car in the best of late 90's style FD body kits. I'd managed to score front fenders and a front bumper that fit this "look" made by Chaser Aero...I only paid $200 for the pieces so I figured they couldn't be THAT bad.

Holy ****...anything ANYONE has ever said about the shitty Chaser Aero fitment...x1000000000! So bad. So very, very bad. I'm going to put the rest of the car together and then see what type of magic I can make with a heat gun but it isn't even close! Hahah!

Put the bushings in the arms for my front suspension. Put my Banzai OMP blockoff on. Fantasized about Ruler Mark. It was a good day.
