Is that a Rotary Extreme IC kit? Looks awesome all around!

What rear spoiler was that on your old MB?

^ Correct, it's one of the earlier DA kits.

I think I've left this thread forlorn for too long... I may as well update it - if that means a potential for more hits to my website

Again, I will indulge in brevity here because everything is covered in depth via: RX-7 | Grand Mighty

To sum up...

Entered my first car show:

Had the front end resprayed again. Sold my '99 bumper, bought another '99 bumper. Sold that one too.

Switched out my FEED Ti exhaust for this one:

Ripped out most of my interior:

Stripped apart the dash and powder coated the crossmember:

Swapped out my '94 dash for a '93 with no airbag. Had it rewrapped in black on black Alcantara:

be careful of having the car out in the sun. the alcantara on the dash will become discolored with too much sun exposure. happened to my alcantara dash in one of my old cars.

I'm starting to think our 2 cars are looking very similar to each other

What would you like to know? I did an oil change and idled the car a couple weeks ago with the exhaust for the first time... I can tell you that it's definitely on the loud side. I may have to put the silencers back in. Or I may just leave them out, who knows.

I usually try to park in shaded areas regardless. I've also picked up a fitted Heatshield sun shade for the dash. The sun fading issue is a reason why I explicitly opted for Alcantara, since it is at least more resilient to it than other materials. I know that a lot of high-end car manufacturers use it in their interiors and dashes as OEM.

Nothing is perfect, there's always going to be something to clean or improve My goal is to get those details down to a more granular level.

They are actually Advans. 18x10 +35 and +25.

Thanks, I miss the Regas... sold them for an absolute steal and wish I didn't now.

Thanks for checking out my site! I've grown a habit over the years to catalogue everything that I do with cars and whatnot... I'm just glad people are interested in reading it.

To pick up where I left off last - things have been going slowly but they are getting there. It's a little sad to think that the last time I drove this car was over 3 months ago, I really need to finish up.

Installed a C's Short Shifter

Bought Spirit-R seats and had them reupholstered in Red Suede

And I know I'm in the minority for this, but I actually went back to the pre-'99 bumper. Thanks to tnn for hooking me up with the bumper!

I was tired of the small fitment blemishes with the 2 '99 bumpers I had. And I guess I just wanted to go back to a more retro look with the car. I like the "sleekness" and narrow profile of the pre-'99 bumpers.

Your car when it had the 99 spec front bumper and the work xd9s is exactly what I'm looking to aim at with my FD... I wanted the St. Mays exhaust until you mentioned the Rein Hards, the exhaust looks amazing.

Yeah I was thinking it is going to be loud without a muffler, I was just looking for some more shots from different angle but I think I found some in your blog

Very impressive work. As you well know, the detail sets it apart. I say this with the utmost respect; pop a couple adderall next time you consider a new wheel option

Yeah I seen this fd in person, the attention to detail is incredible. Can't imagine how much you spent already. I wish I can be that detailed, maybe when I'm balling in money I'll strip the car down to bare shell and go at it. Wish my car was that clean.
