DYNO TIME :D

Car behaved well, I have a fuel pressure problem towards the end. the fuel pressure was dropping rapidly. I dont think its my FPR its pointing towards the fuel pump either being starved from the feed collector or the pump just at its max.

looking to get a new FPR from DM motorsport and another GST450

Ill also make a fuel cooler on the return line with a fan to cool the fuel as its getting bloody hot!

it made 491 RWHP however we lost the graph. gutted heres the next one down.

555.55BHP Fucking chuffed

1.5BAR.. it wants much more. the car was happy at that boost. I think its to do with the larger hot side 1.10 AR

More fuel, Gearbox then dyno again. still runing seriously conservative timing ie 10's.

Massive thanks to everyone thats put up with my stupid questions etc. DM MOTORSPORT, Marco, Scott etc and a huge hug and lkisses to phil and the other FD wife beaters (You know who you are )

Its a company in the uk called DM-MOTORSPORT they have a websie. :) Handy for V mount while keeping rigitity. plus you can keep the bonnet catch :icon_tup:

04G35S 01-07-16 04:02 PM

I may need to get one of those ordered, I wonder if they ship to the US?

Does it retain the mounting point for the front bumper as well?

Jaemc 01-08-16 12:58 AM

Long way indeed. Really impressed with the transformation man.

gavbey 01-12-16 02:40 PM

The car has come an incredibly long way. We are all very proud of you :)

Few things I wanted to mention. It's been 2 or 3 years since I last posted in this thread :)

The problem with your fuel temp and pressure is the pump not being gravity fed. It takes max effort for it to suck it up and out of the tank. It's one of the biggest contributors to external pump issues. Also the in tank pumps have the benefit of being submerged and it helps for additional cooling but mostly it's the weight of the fuel above the pump keeps it from being over worked. Pump design somewhat dictates this.

Don't take just my word for it on the pump location; Research it yourself and also bring that fuel hose to someone's attention that can verify if its for low pressure.

I look forward to that 600hp dyne run when you sort it out. Thanks for keeping this thread alive.

The fuel line set up makes me very nervous and the line itself looks like low pressure fuel hose for cars that use Carburetors.

Mike
