I have the engine, turbos, transmission, oil cooler, and some accessories wrapped up and the intake, intercooler, ducts, alternator, and air pump in containers with the radiator and fans near by. Got everything ready to sell if I get a buyer, might post in the for sale section.

My silicone hose kit came in and I got some polishing and powder coating done.. So this weekend I'll probably play around with the rx7 a little bit and do an oil change on my g37 and eclipse..

It's a slow process but I'm still working at it and still have plans for it. At the time I'm also busy with another fd, a 240sx, and a g37 and preparing for a trip to Scrapin' the Coast in a few weeks, I'll be taking this rx7. I have a few parts waiting to come in and some black metallic paint. I still need to paint and adjust the interior, get some new seats and a new set of wheels..

I was able to spend a few hours working on the Kraken today, I started off by taking the y-pipe, rear turbo pipe and downpipe off.. My downpipe from my white fd already had a bung for the 02 sensor for my aem wide band so that's the only reason why I changed it. I put my powder coated parts on for a nice look.

When I got done these are the parts I had left over..

While I had those parts out the way I put my egr block off plates where I saw they fit and changed the hoses in that area, but I had three plates that I couldn't figure out where they go..

And I have a lot more vacuum lines the change and I want to simplify the rats nest and take out everything I don't need..

nice build, love the powder coating. It been a while since I've done block off plates, but I think the small one is for the rear stock turbo oil line, near the bell housing. You don't need it if you are using the twins. The big one with the straight edge is for the omp I think. If you keeping the metering pump, you don't need that either.

Nice work!

This should help with the block-off plates.

Thanks guys, I ended up finding a link in the faq where all 9 plates go to, the double throttle and acv, the split air pipe was already done so that explains those three..
The paint arrived but I'm not ready to spray, I ordered it from paintforcars and used it before on a 240sx I sold, it looked to be some good paint but I didn't keep the car to see about long term results.. I decided to go with black metallic and do a full color change.. I started peeling the plasti dip off, I don't like that stuff.. I know this car doesn't look good now but there is no body damage and it's coming along, I'm with this one mainly for the experience, I let shops and experience people work on my good fd..

dude wtf? I asked what's new with the car and you said not much. I didn't know you installed all the powdercoated parts yet.

if I would've thought about it I would've given you my old rats nest for you to put vacuum lines on before you replaced all of them on your car. may have saved you some time.

looking good man. the paint work should come out nice as long as you take your time and prep it nicely. let me know when you want alittle help. i'll have to take a ride down there.

Normally you ask about the white one.. They both been a slow process but I have a buyer for my boat and a job lined up next month so progress will start to pick up again.. This week I'll do some cleaning on it and finish fitting the side shirts, not that a track car needs that though..

How could someone let an FD get in that bad of shape? It amazes me. More details on the S14?

I think I have the mold for the bumper you put on the black/tan FD...any chance you can post a picture of it from an angle that shows off the front bumper?

I couldn't imagine doing two projects at a time.

I think the fd sat for like 10 years before I got it, the inspection tag was dated in '02, the body was in great condition and it ran great, but the interior sucked, what was left of it anyways..
The 240 has a sr20 swap, coilovers, 300zx brakes, drilled/slotted rotors, hydro e-brake, 18x10 wheels(I don't like them), kouki conversion.. I didn't really get into it yet, I threw in some bride seats since I got it, thats about it..

I don't have that FD anymore to take pictures of the bumper, it was a C-West bumper I believe..
