I want to felt tape my panels before reinstalling. Can say what felt tape you used? Did it work to stop squeaks?

I used this:

Amazon Amazon

In the limited km I have driven since applying the tape, there have been zero squeaks or rattles from my interior.

It’s a cheap improvement, but time consuming to do it well.

BC Comfy Cozy

Since the cheap feel of the interior is one of the detractions for the FD3S, it is certainly worth while going through the interior, refurbishing the sound deadening materials, not only the felt strips but also foam pieces that have disintegrated. There are three metal hangers on the top of the door cards that can rattle consistently. Often the foam buffering is gone. on those.

Eliminating rattles and squeaks can make the interior feel much more solid.

When removing the door cards watch out for the hidden bolt behind the passenger window switch. Also most of the plastic trims require the door card to be off to be removed.

Reinforce the foam bridges between the plastic pieces. They are likely broken already.

Afflux Ver V life in Japan

Came across a pile of photos that the previous owner took while he had the car in Japan. Figured I would share some of the interesting ones:

Well it’s 2021 and the RX7 officially turned 25 back in March 🎉

So the car is ready to be sold and can be imported into the USA.

I will be listing it officially with all new photos/videos and compression test results in ~2 weeks.

If you have a reasonable offer feel free to direct message me, otherwise wait for the auction listing.

Here’s hoping it finds a good home....

Curious to see what it brings. I'd be on it if it was LHD.

Preparing to relocate to a remote area (think ferry crossings and gravel roads). It just won’t be practical/feasible to keep this car.

if you know someone who will give her a new home, let me know!

if I can get back ~50% and it’s going to an owner who appreciates it I’ll be happy.

BC Maybe you can take it with you

The Australians seem ready to pay double for a RHD FD than what you can sell them for here in NA.

You might want to look into where the New Zealand mindset is at. (But I have heard their VI rules are quite tough.)

Of course the RHD/LHD bias is reversed, downunder.

Unfortunately the issue isn’t the country I’m moving to, it’s the location of my home. It truly is not practical to own this where I am going. I may not even pull off a rally car, it may be off road truck only.

I mean take it there as personal effects and sell it.

Or perhaps mount it in a giant plexiglass box and charge the locals $25 just to see it.

Engine start-ups $25 extra. The "ignition fee".

Be in the leading edge of collector car tourism.

Nothing like hiking through the mountains for days and finding an FD in a plexigalss box overlooking a scene from Lord of the Rings.

Get on the bucket list of people seeking barn finds in remote locations.

Love you man. Hate to lose you.

But I think you have got the idea already. For "Dip" read "sheep dip".
