No updates just yet. My importer is waiting for the official paperwork stating why the car was seized. After that we can petition for it to be released. :/

So you are waiting for the official paperwork To show up at the importers and that takes a few days.....all awhile they are charging YOU $50 a day. That sucks. So how many days has it been? Do they include saturday and sunday?

I've put the 99 spec OEM bumper on my CYM. If you've got the $ I'd highly suggest you also buy the rebar (bumper reinforcement that goes behind the bumper too, otherwise you'll be spending a lot of time cutting your old one to accommodate the bumper. I kept my old rebar and it took a lot of cutting to get the bumper fitment perfect.

Yes, what are the odds on that! Maybe MS01's were a common option people put on CYM's back in the day... but I haven't seen any other CYM colour ones other than mine and yours.

I even bought a 99 spec spoiler and I had decided on painting the centre bit black too,but then in the end I went spoiler-less for a cleaner look. that 99 spoiler looks nice on your cym tho. Got any more pics of your car that you can link me to?

Alright my friends. After a VERY long time of headaches....

I still don't have my project car. ******* customs.

Anyway I've been lacking on putting up pictures of the deconstruction of the cym because I finally found the daily that I've been looking for for the past two years. (Pics of said daily will be at the bottom of this post)

Anyway updates on customs: They sent me a letter stating that the tires and the headlights are not up to US code. So I wrote them a letter saying that the car is for parts and that if the headlights and tires are the only thing keeping it from getting to my door than take a baseball bat to the headlights and slash the tires and SHIP ME MY DAMN CAR ALREADY YOU ******* HOCKEY PLAYING, MAPLE LEAF LOVING, CANADIAN BACON EATING MOTHER *******!

I hope I get the car "un-seized" soon.

On to the pictures!!!!
Thank you to McGee (my ginger friend) for helping in the process. (I paid him back with beer)

DAILY!!!

TINT!!!

I registered my FD for a car show before it got wrecked so I took my Volvo and put on my FD plates for ***** and giggles. lol
Funny thing is that the Volvo actually won Best Stock Plus!

Well I got the news today. Canadian customs isn't letting me bring the car over to the USA. AND they want $3300 before they will release the car to me. So in essence I'd be paying $5000 + $3300 for a roller.. Not worth it. I think I'll just take the 5k loss and look for a lhd roller for cheaps.

Anyway I've been pissed for the past week now. They're charging me $50 a day to have the car sit in their warehouse. WTF.

If only customs were this strict on ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION as they are on JDM cars. psh.

No **** maybe they are just trying to take what we took from them back. They are the true Americans Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and so on belong to them. **** let them come I sure as hell would not like to work the fields. If your down go ahead and work the fields and then those illegals would be out of a job. So go ahead and you two take one for the team and work in agriculture and report back if you still want them here or not? I bet your eating vegetables if I was you I wouldn’t eat vegetables so they be out of a job. So please don’t be IDIOTS unless your willing to take there crappy jobs. I sure as hell don’t let me know if your willing and I can most then likely hook you up with a job. The + side is they probably wont come here any more because there is no jobs left for them.

Im probably missing something here because I dont think anyone can be this stupid, but... Your going to give up the 5k u just spent on that car and look for a LHD roller, which will probably cost another 5k, instead of just paying the $3300 and getting the car u already bought?

Or can you not bring the car into the country even if you pay the $3300?

Yep. If i pay the $3300 it'll only be released back into Canada. Where I could sell it to some Canadian for maybe 5k. Doesn't seem worth it. I'm talking to a family friend who is a lawyer and he will steer me into the right direction.

Until then I'll be looking for lhd rollers cuz I really need to get this project moving. Thank God my Ford stock is rising...

Nice caR. lol Isn't it a perfect daily driver? I'm in love with a Volvo. I never thought I'd say that!

I noticed you also have a prancing moose sticker. lol Gotta love it. Any mods done to yours? 6 speed I assume?

Here are some pictures of mine after a couple of small mods.
