I see.. But what stops the coolant from just emptying out the system into your reservoir? My understanding was the spring holds the fluids down, then when the pressure gets too high it THEN exits to the reservoir? I probably dont understand this correctly

But my goal is to eliminate the coolant reservoir.

yeah, my idea is to eliminate the coolant reservoir to clean the bay up and one less thing to worry about

The reservoir essentially performs the same function as the AST and a normal overflow tank, in one piece. It's a pressurized expansion tank.

It's basically voodoo, but it works really well. LOL

Higgi runs the same setup in his 20B FC and I'll run the same in my FD when I'm through.

haha any pictures? I actually started "bubble tech" to just learn what its like to start a business... I figured it would be easier to get into the market and learn at a lower risk... My real dream was to design and build furniture.... but im kinda just riding bubble tech out and see where it goes from there.. worse case scenario, I'll move to one off parts for my car and do furniture =)

Any pics of the stuff you make? whats your preferred medium/style?

I don't build custom furniture although I am a trained cabinet maker. I'm a professional restorer of antiques in Washington DC. I also handle all sorts of commercial refinishing, repairs, fabrications, furniture refinishing, claims handling etc... I'm second generation, dad got me started down this road. Next year will be my 20th year. This is me.... www.clairsrestoration.com

Priorities. I've been investing all I have into the business so the car has been put on hold.

Plus I have out grown my home garage so I have no space to even bring the car in to work on. After failing miserably on my first widebody kit, im determined to redo it and come back with an even better design and execution. But that will be later down the road when if I can find a shop

Currently I'm focused on developing parts for the FD to get a more steady income before I make more financial mistakes with this car ahahaha

Yup. Thats it lol. it's been sitting for the past 20 months. The body kit looks horrendous, but what do you expect... I did it outside, on a sloped driveway, half the wheels inflated, and not knowing what i was doing, oh and in the winter....

I ran out of room in my garage so theres no way i can do the body kit properly. So until I move into a shop, the car will sit in its grave.

As it sits...

So this has pretty much been dead for 2 years. I've finally got the desire back to want to get the car running again. So this winter will be time for a come back. The main reason I haven't gotten to this is because lack of space in the garage. Its been over a year since I've been looking for a shop/house and after being in contract for 4 different places, it seems like I finally found a spot. All that is left is to do the title search and I should be moving in to my awesome fixer upper =) I'll give more details on that when I acquire the space. But lets just say its big enough for me to grow and and hoard all the junk I want =)

Some parts I've been collecting..

So as I'm getting old, my taste/style is changing. I've really began to fall in love with the porche cup cars interior and will be using that for inspiration.

With that said, I will be keeping the stock dash look with a few modifications as follows:
-1 piece composite construction
-Blanked out panels
-Removed glove box for more passenger leg room
-Extend the sides to meet our door panels

In addition I'll be pairing it with a 1 piece blank transmission tunnel cover as well. Thus it can be modified for those using different transmission/shifter locations
