Most companies stitch into the original dash cover to keep the shape intact. I ripped the covering off an old dash I have and most of it parted from the foam okay, but not all.

I didn't think I'd be a fan of the pink, but the whole pink & white theme actually looks pretty darn good imo

that white cage in the white FD is sexy, especially with the red accents to tie it all in

interesting... what did you end up doing with it? the foam coming off and ruining the shape got me worried..

as far as covering over it im worried that the added thickness of material would cause problems for the plastic trim to seat well over it?

den the white cage looks dopee, hm pink or white. pink or white...........
tough call, the white looks clean, but the pink will have that uber pop factor!

PROGRESSION.

GUTTING.
pos carpet that is still damp from god knows when. my coolant leaked into the car cuz the heater core was leaking and its still absorbed into the carpet... this will be fun trying to salvage it.....

some parts taken out... headlights, wires for gauges, stereo etc..., water meth...

body harness removed just need to snake it out of the wheel wells... then ill begin relocation stuff...

trunk

interior... as you can see i previously quiet coated the car... i didnt do the firewall and the drivers side looks like a PITA to get the liner off (bc of the pedals) so im just going to do the passenger side (since the noise comes from that side anyways) and probably recoat the inside a little thicker

intercooler outt.. gotta get it modified for vmic.. but that wont be for a few weeks

misc parts removed around the garage... mostly interior plastics

The oil cooler fits between the frame rails i need to make some brackets so i can mount mine up. I'm just going to run the fc oil cooler so i can use the openings where the stock ones went for some brake ducts or something like that.

no body in the area that ive seen in nj stocks or even orders our plugs, i got lucky once and an auto zone had four 7's left, when i asked when they would get more, they told me they were on the "once out of stock to not reorder" list

we are a dying breed after all, just watching the amount of traffic on this site compared to 4 years ago proves that

five bucks, last time I bought plugs (2 7's and 2 9's) I spent just over 20 bucks after tax, that was a while ago though since I blew my motor last spring. Although we've got a few rotary guys that just happen to work at the parts store, so that might help.

Plugs are $20+ each at the local places here, so don't feel too bad. I just got a new set off the net for like $40 after shipping (which is a big savings)

That one has four pins, not two. Also it's located in a different spot on the battery/starter/alt harness.

Looks like the connector for the A/C drier..... the small can that fits into the stock IC duct. Not positive though, been a long time since I've messed with A/C

Not much of an update.. just placed an order for spools of wires, crimps, heat wrap etc...

been untangling/deleting some wires in the meantime...

The wire above^^ yellow/orange is actually for the front right abs (just for reference purposes)

some pics of absolutely nothing.

Good stuff man!
The internal wiring is a nightmare - so much junk running back and forth for no good reason! You can bin so much though!

Looking good, I just got finished removing the factory fuseboxes, relocating the body harness to inside the car, and building a new relay/fuse panel to complete the "tuck". I'm with you on the soothing part, give me my music and leave me alone and I'm fine haha.
