Been really busy working on the garage and prepping it for this winter. its a 2 door garage, one side will be for the 7 and the other side will be converted for work space. so far i have the workbench made, the pegboard up, one small storage shelf and half the garage painted. hopefully it will be done this weekend, also will be making a booth/sort of room for the powder coating/sandblasting/paint/spray paint to prevent all the dust and over spray from getting on everything... some garage pics- the car actually isnt in the garage anymore i moved the stuff off the wall in preparation to paint so its all in the middle, few things are thrown out, still a lot of work to do but eventually it will be pretty empty on that side... off topic- for those who work on their fd in their garage, what do you say is the idea clearance around the car to allow easy accessibility and ease to work on? i think the cars gonna be hard to work on when i have to go inside as i dont have a lot of door clearance.. expoxied floor http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/IMAG0066.jpg workbench being made 80% done http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/IMAG0064.jpg side shelf assembled http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/IMAG0071.jpg started moving stuff over to clear the other side of the garage so i can paint the walls and floor http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/IMAG0072.jpg Temp parking for like 2 days lol now waiting to come back in =( http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/IMAG0074.jpg ohh and my new beauty, no snap on or mac, just my chinese made harbor freight =) http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/IMAG0075.jpg I guess ill post an update... yet another winter trying to prep the car so i can track it and not be terrified of something going wrong... having fcked up my old motor, a new motor this year is setting me back from this winters goal of getting the car fully repainted. butt i still have a lot i would like to tackle so the appearance can hold off for a bit. also looking into vinyling the car looks like a nice alternative and could be something cool to learn This is my to do list... phase 1 interior/electrical -remove abs wires -remove airbag wires -relocated fuse boxes -add fuse box for accessories -rewire gauges -rewire water/meth -clean up any other wiring -add more quietcoat (inside firewall) -redo rear bins to make them larger and more usable -make sub box -convert gauge cluster to white -fix all broken posts/tabs on the plastics -replace leaky heatercore -fix window vents or order new ones from our buddy ray crowe -possibly make new door panels -purchase/install alarm -Powder coat and install roll bar (neon pink =]) phase 2 engine bay -ceramic coat turbo cold side white -dual oil coolers or a custom set up with an fc oil cooler... -possibly switch to VMIC -ducting for oil coolers, IC/RAD and from hood (Scoote) open to..? -add foam to the insides of the frame to create more rigidy/structure (dense foam) -hopefully patch up the engine bay holes/ groves to look more smooth -^^ if so then respray the bay -Oh and the glorious motor... need to get the HBP again aswell adding the exhaust side ported this time around... which will be done by dave formerly known as KDR phase 3 touch ups etc... -coilovers, apexi n1s -body... undecided but i want to go the route of sanai front/sides (need to buy) and use either my 99 spec plateless, or 93 front as a track bumper... -make rear diffuser -buy riced out ebay gt spoiler (flame suit on) -vinyl the car if im happy with the way it looks (matte white) -Powder coat rims gloss white |

easy cleanup, liquids don't seap in like they do with concrete, they bubble up, oil, coolant, brake fluid, you name it.

nahh it wont fit, we even had it sided and went through the whole thing dumping everything we didnt need anymore and it still wouldnt fit, im using that more as a workshop/ bike shop lol

You guys in the US have it so good with garages! Here in the UK most garages are barely big enough to fit a car in, let alone anything else. We're currently trying to find a new pad and some of the ones we're looking at aren't even big enough to fit my FD in :( It looks at the moment like I'll just be tucking away my other half's Eunos! |

Moving the car to the left worked out nice Ben.
If i can figure out a proper heating solution for cheap ill be in the garage this winter but if not im holding out till spring. The cold really kills any motivation. Whats the plan for the engines? |

thanks, i moved it to the left so when ppl go in and out of the house there not brushing up on the car (not that i care the paint is shit any who...) but its better on traffic flow... as for heater, i have a propane space heater that works wonders... something like this diff brand http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/...80&marketID=15 when i was painting the floor i had the garage cracked open about 2 feet and the heater on low warmed the garage up enough for me to be sweating (outside was below 50 and windy) it takes about 10 min to go from 50-60 and 20 to get 50-70... its perfect for the winter, it gets very toasty i usually warm the garage up to 60 and turn it off then when i feel cold turn it back on... as for the engine, it wont get touched till around the end of jan.. will be the same hbp, except ill get the exhaust ports ported this time... bangkok said daves (KDR Rotary ::free plug::) haha backed up and wont even touch his motor til the end of dec so im in no rush... plus im feeling lazy so i might get him to rebuild it.. idk yet.. im hoping to finish up some more shelving this week so i have room to store more parts and then i can start gutting this sucker. |

i just bought it from a friend... had a broken apex seal so he just fixed the back... i want to take it apart and check that everything is to par then go back to the daddy hbp... i look gay in a pink car without any balls to back it up...
i swear the pink is cool when im making 400+ (hopefully reach 500) |
