For gmonsen......Here's pic of the rear spoiler (tail finisher )...not on the car right now, needs paint. Don't know if it is Amemiya or a replica.

Many thanks, but actually it is rolling off the "factory" floor ( Tennessee Mazda FD Factory ). We hand build them one at a time and it only takes us 5 years per unit ....lol......yes we are a little slow in TN.

Hey Johnny.....take it out once a week, next is a long list of little picking things that are fun to do.

 

Agree and on my list of easy improvements.

Trying to decide on wheel options...CCW, Borbet or a set of Kinesis K27's that I am restoring.

 

Your car looks great and I'd keep the wheels in this pic. Period correct.

I'm also doing a very slow OEM build on my low mileage R1 which also has rear seats!
What are you doing for the AST and down pipe?

1. Which wheels to you prefer...CCW's or Borbet? I'm still undecided.
2. Have metal AST and after market downpipe.
3. We may not make Nationals this year....converting the FD autoX car to norotors to get the torque curve we want.

 

Are the wheels for street or track? If they're for the street something other than the ugly CCW's. If it's for the track or auto crossing, then CCW

 

I really like the CCW's with the gunmetal centers and they are great on track.

 

CCW Classics but the lightweight version would be even better.

I'm partial to my Volk TE37s but since I'm doing an OEM look too, I've strongly been considering the Mazdaspeed MS-01S
