Coming along nicely. Glad to see you did the roof right and didn't just fill in the sunroof. You will appreciate the extra headroom of no sunroof. I've owned 3 FD's and this is my first without a sunroof. I don't ever want to go back to a sunroof FD again.

Thanks ZOOM, there was no debate on how to do the slicktop and it turned out perfect.
Looking forward to the reassembly on a like new chassis.

Pickup from the ace painter ( Greg Baltimore, Eaglesville TN ) almost exactly six months from delivery as expected.....great painters do not rush the process.
Will post more pics when the dust is cleaned off.

Thanks Jacob......it will be very very good but not a show car build. Might be the best in East TN though.

Question: it doesn't look like there is any of the lower rocker (guard) protection like the factory paint has. What do most people do when they get their cars repainted? Replicate it or leave it smooth?

Looks great!

Most remove the rocker chip material which is what I did. I may cover with the clear protection stuff plus I have OEM mudguards.

Ppl still use point and shoot cameras? Blurry pics sir.

Hey David......cell phones may not be the best measure of money spent on luxury's , however an FD build is a good start but an FD RACE CAR is yet another level of extreme excess....and admittedly I have both...see pic.

Hey Jim! The paint job came out great. What's new with the SSM car? I see a different upper intake manifold and a different transmission on the garage floor. You and Carter still keeping the car in SSM, yes? I am taking a modification break with my car for now and hopefully, I will resume in a year or two. I need to replace the rear spoiler with a dual-element wing. Also, I need to replace my stock LCA bushings with Super Now Offset LCA bushings for more negative camber.

Hey James, your planned improvements are on target. Yes, Carter is working hard on our car and still SSM. The dog box trans is fitted and the intake is a Carter Design to go with the new peripheral port engine....with a little luck we will be competing again this season.

Nice! Your new engine should make some major power. Also, we need more FDs at Nationals since I was the only one last year at Nationals. Unfortunately, I won't be competing this year at Nationals due to my work schedule.
