It's been sitting in my driveway, wanted to sell the diesel first did that. Now i need to sort out a few gremlins on my darkside first. It just needs fueling and wiring and she should be good for first start.

Big update coming soon... teaser, we tore it back down to a bare shell to refurbish some things and undo some messups by a previous person who worked on it.

Unfortunatly noticed the front strut bushings have collapsed so new struts will have to be bought :icon_tdow Did some ninja weight reduction, Put my carbon fiber doors and hatch with lexan in the hatch on it. It's all getting wrapped so people can't tell how much it weighs. And I believe the wheels are Equips of some sort, I'd have to wait for ruler to actually say... lol

The whole turbo/intercooler setup was bought by Kevin Gringo Grande on the forum here... the hood was easymy fabricator did a U cut, cut the webbing from the back then rounded it down and welded on sides and a front.

For the new direction of the build the rotary was not practical anymore. Wasn't of the common excuses of power curve, torque, or 'reliability'. It was for mpg at triple digits building for cannonball runs. Stoping for fuel makes you lose.

Transported her to Gainesville for final fab, wiring, and assembly!

Also note SCREW thoose carbon brake ducts that were sold in a small group buy.. they were a few degrees off of flat, towards the rotor could not cut them to work either.. Got my tech2 hood in.... PLENTY of room for the fast 102, but thats not the goal. Eventually going to put a supercharger on it. it appears to give 3 to 4" over stock hood. Whipple 2.9l is ~10.5 in tall, fast 102 is ~7.5....

A solid ~700lbs of weight reduction gave use a few inches of raise LOL. The first alignment she recieve is going to be hell for the tech,, there are like 4 places for each type of adjustment lol. Just noticed too dam... mabey we should stop putting stuff together at 3am.. when drinking starts at 9 lol.
Wrap prices very heavily on the installer. It takes finess to do it right. The guy that did mine is top tier he charges 3k+ i believe. |
