Some of you guys will know of my last 2 FD's for those that don't here is a bit of history!

First FD ended up looking like the pic below after 5 years of hard graft and went from 100% stock to 20B N/A side port, dry sumped full track car.

Attachment 676252

Second one was only a short term build and was mostly modded before I bought it but it wasn't what you would call nicely built!

Attachment 676253

This takes me to the current project, to build a 20B N/A side port engine again but wet sump and as a street car not a track car . . . well my old man can't have all the fun in his V8 MGB!

How she looked when I first got her home.

Matt724... This is my kind of car and should receive more attention. NA 20b powered cars offer by far the best balanced FD, but I'm prejudiced. I'm subscribed. Keep the pictures and reports coming!

G

Thanks Gordon, your build is coming on great aswell, love the 3rd plug work Logan has done for you

The block was RE:WORX old one from the RX8 drag car, it's already got a large street port by Era already cut

I would think something like 48-50 inches before the collector for the power you are looking at?

G

I was thinking of a touch longer, the port in the plates is pretty large so I'm kind of playing down the power it might or might not make!

At the end of the day as I said to you before I'm not mega bothered what it makes so I will have to wait and see. My current biggest issue is the TB as I want to use a 20B one but it just looks so damd fussy . . .

matt724 04-13-13 03:39 AM

Thanks again G, will drop you a PM in a min

Nicely done, Matt. Beautiful welds and fits perfectly and you've got a lot of length in there, so you shouldn't end up collecting much back of normal.

G

That was my exhaust builders plan, as you have spotted the is most of the length we need by the brake booster
