New addition
Libertys road race dogbox with some crazy ratios to hit the track. Will post pics as soon as its received from liberty |
Nice. Got any more info on it?
|
Ratios and what its done to it in terms of treatment
And the stronger mainshaft Ratios are 1.96 1.51 1.20 1 0.719 Final gear..debating between 4.44 and 4.77.. probably will go with a 4.44 as I will need one less shift than the 4.77 All parts received libertys special treatment and it should last a lot of beating with the torqueless 13b lol |
Sick build

Beautiful car. Can't wait to hear how that transmission work out and see pics.
|
I have a small balance left with liberty. . Hopefully to make them do the input shaft in time.. thats all its missing
Someone custom made a sequential shifter for that tranny .. gotta find out who and how Thanks guys |

Hood not yet ready |
I havent updated this thread in a while. Anyhow heres some status update
the engine was rebuilt because of a coolant seal failure. it received a nice street port as well as some aftermarket seals (Thanks Roan, for the RXparts seals) and most importantly, a frensh engine bay paint .. it really looked terrible https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-Z...46287458_n.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Z...54596781_n.jpg https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-e...81847626_n.jpg Was never a fan of the OMP or the Block of plates. so i ended up welding since everything was out https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-A...64143615_n.jpg |
Chassis and engine harness were redone. All sensors/wiring were integrated in the actual harness so no wires are visible
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-O...48286492_n.jpg I couldnt stand the oem line.. all my lines were converted into hardlines with AN fittings except from this one. since the rear iron was out, i pulled the stock nipple, and threaded an AN fitting https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-1...73356655_n.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-N...22265145_n.jpg putting everything together https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-h...12087673_n.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-Y...68214921_n.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-l...00560886_n.jpg |
Some Interior/ Defi ZD monitor mounted
i custom fabricated this defi ZD mount. if i were to do it again i could have probably not installed the boost gauge next to it. Overall very happy with it.. MOST importantly, the ZD monitor has a clock. yay great success haha https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-E...08299927_n.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-I...66572343_n.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-G...94085162_n.jpg https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-a...43161343_n.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-k...61947069_n.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-3...77846678_n.jpg |
stealth methanol tank.
i custom built a 316SS methanol tank. based on material properties this is the only stainless steel (if memory serves anyway) that will be corrosion resistant against methanol https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-G...97942106_n.jpg https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-U...30367797_n.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-U...65545094_n.jpg |
Nice work, car looks amazing. Sorry I pissed you off on the other thread. No hard feelings on my end. I'll be following this thread either way because it looks pretty interesting.

Battery solution
Lithium Battery cells combined together https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/--...99226404_n.jpg I figured that since configuration works (4cells instead of 8) i had to find a mounting solution for the battery. initially i thought it was best to put it under the passenger seat (battery is only 4cm high around an inch and a half for the imperial friends :) ) instead i figured, since i have a few spirit R footrests laying around to give it a go. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-k...94588809_n.jpg initial mock up https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-X...24222613_n.jpg spice everything up with some carbon  https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-j...37830226_n.jpg safety first, we dont need any more fires. circuit-breaker https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-J...80023743_n.jpg |
Next step is to install the hood.. the plan with the hood has changed unfortunately. i ordered an AD9 hood from Re-amemiya (Yes genuine)
I ordered a carbon cover for the passenger airbag, also from Re-amemiya and an aluminum power steering tank again, from RE-amemiya Ended up making a 315x20mm Rear rotor brake kit using with oem Mazda brackets Cusco roll cage was repainted (same cusco blue color) and installed |

you can order re-amemiya parts from a dealer or an exporting agent such as rhdjapan. I ordered mine from a shop in cyprus who gets jdm parts directly all the time.
the red and the white are two different cars. both mine. the red is a 2002 Type R bathust, and the white one is a 2001 Type RB Bathurst the red was destroyed a couple of years ago in a fire |
I want your tranny, that is all.
|
well i just got another mainshaft that im sending out to a friend in greece.. and im actually getting another one for a secondary tranny to use with stock ratios for 1/4mile race

Thanks for the rhdjapan tip. I've not previously heard of this place. |
i dont deal with them anymore as the way they handle business sucks. i was one of their best customers until 2007-2008 but they screwed me over. ordering a hood from them should be ok.
