1993 Vintage Red R1...lets see where this goes

Well for starters, pretty much I've wanted an FD ever since I was little playing video games and didn't know what the car was but just liked everything about it. As i grew older i started watching the touge max videos and seeing what this car was capable of and it was confirmed that had to save up for an FD. I saved up everything i had while i high school and took some left over money fro my student loans after my freshmen year of college and bought this one. Some of you may recognize the car as gooddfellafd3s dads car but this car will be going through a lot of changes in its lifetime. I bought the car last August and enjoyed driving it until the inevitable...I was driving home from the gym in November and it was a kind of cool night so my IAT mustve been too low for the outdated PFS Purple Box and the front rotor detonated cracking a seal...and thats where the build started

The Car: 1993 Vintage Red R1
The Goal: Build a beautiful yet very aggressive street car (no irreversible mods like wide rear fenders) car that can be taken to the track and comfortably perform at that level..eventually 450-500hp in due time(no time soon)
Currently: 99spec Front Bumper, 99spec converted tails, Stage 3 Streetport, Power FC, Full 3in. open exhaust, Apexi intakes, Greddy Mspec FMIC, Aem water meth, Fluidyne rad, Blitz boost controller, ACT clutch with Racing Beat flywheel, Stance coils, Cusco Strut Tower Bar, Super Pro Toe Link and Trailing Arms bushings, RX7.com differential bushings, OEM pillow ***** replaced, Te37 reps, Driven steering wheel, Nrg short hub and neo chrome quick release, Efini emblems, cross drilled rotors

anyways well thats that now time to get it started

Well for starters this is when i first went up to IRP to see that car with my parents and you'll get a glimpse of Rich in there too haha

My parents thought it was funny to make this my birthday cake

A Few after I got the car home

A couple at my old job

And a few when I stopped by my grand-parents and they first saw it

Grandpa checking the interior of the Rex with yours truly walking around haha

And a little shot of when me and one of my friends went out for lunch a while ago (cars in the midst of being turboed now)

little update for the post first off done with flickr too difficult to upload photos from... but aside from that, being as I'm 6'4" the stock steering wheel wasnt the most comfortable when trying to heel toe so I went out and bought a 350mm Driven steering wheel along with the nrg quick release and short hub from enjuku. I also bought my stance coils from a forum member JohnRx7

next is a few updates on the motor's porting from IRP and a set of Te37reps that I was told came over on an s15 a few years back...weird cause I've never seen them before so I kinda believe it anyways

Heres a few shots of the stage 3 street port done by GoodfellaFd3s himself

And a shot of the wheels, didn't get any before pics but they were previously power coated blue then sprayed over with some crappy red rattle can, I sanded them down to bare metal and took them to my jobs paint shop and had the guy spray them a nice bright white metallic with a gold and bluish silver metal flake in there..also have a set of muteki sr48 neochrome lugs to go with it (crappy cellphone pics soon to come up)

wish I could've bought the wheels I really wanted(Advan Rs-d) but I was dropping money into the motor at the time but these weren't a bad pickup especially for only 250

Figured I'd share some more pictures of the motor I had received a few weeks ago from IRP one they put it together. I went with the gold housings and front plate and a battleship grey color they had at the shop for the irons, I think it came out looking pretty cool cant wait to see it in person. I also got my wheels and tires mounted last week by my friends dad on probably the craziest tire machine I've ever seen definitely looked like a transformer was mounting my tires but whatever, it worked I think the machine was a Corghi if I'm correct anyway it didn't touch the rims at all I was pretty amazed.

UPDATE: Well kinda fell behind on a few things so figured I'd put a much need update.
So for starters I put my intercooler on which was a mission within itself along with my greddy elbow and tapped it again for my meth lines. Also fabricated some intakes and finally vented my bov to the atmosphere(and this things loud)

Lowered the car a little bit more and went to my first show SNTRL In-Motion and had a good turn out.

I also got the car tuned by JPR Imports in South Jersey, Jims a really cool dude and helped me out a lot installing new injectors for me and a new fuel pump(courtesy of Jhnrx7) and we made it to the dyno and the secondary turbo wasn't coming on line at all so he converted the car to non sequential for me on the fly and i was able to run 12psi of boost and make 340whp. We tried tuning for a little more boost with meth but the stock ignition wasn't capable of holding anything more than 13psi so we turned the boost down to 12psi for safety and we're going to retune once I get the Twin Power.
But this car is SOOOOOOO MUCH MORE FUN!!! But the power crave is coming and I can see a single turbo and a vmount coming over the winter

Not sure, I did it myself because I love the GT car/ Time Attack look and they've always got those crazy painted tires so i did it more subtle and etched out the Hankook letters on the tires. Its a nice little touch in person. And its kinda ironic you commented on the thread because i was just on your page looking at the EFR8374 haha

Beautiful ride man. The pixie at the Phillies game is awesome. It reminds me of those black and white pictures then a bright red object of some sort to draw your attention. Super clean, maybe calender worthy. Keep up the good work.

Next is deff sidesteps and the RE Amemiya track diffuser than probably feed front fenders and some new wheels..and of course when Mr. Ben Franklin prohibits, a single turbo setup
