No real updates other than the arrival of my ABS delete kit. School ends Friday, so hopefully I can finish pulling wires this weekend and drop off the rest of my interior.
Very exciting build here. Ditching all the wiring and going custom is pretty brave and takes skill!

I've looked into this kit for a number of years. I have a neighbor that's resto-modding a Pantera and he introduced me to it (His car is insane handmade sheet metal wide-body). This conversion will end up being extremely easy, or I've made a BIG mistake! This kit should simplify things drastically. Controls for headlights, horn, blinkers, etc are all programmed in, so I've removed pretty much everything electronic that's related to chassis functions. It's a bit pricey, but when you price out an OEM harness, you pretty much break even. I just need to make some templates for mounts once the kit gets here.
I think I will go
Master cell driver side kick panel.
Front cell, driver side headlight housing on a custom bracket (so that I can tuck most of the wires)
Rear, either where the ABS computer or the tire iron foam insert was (Driver side bin as a last resort.
I'm tired of wires that lead to nothing as well as the other random circuits that have been added over the years without thought of serviceability or safety. I have/had multiple color grounds as well as +12v all over the chassis.
The only circuit that I was really worried about was the heater/AC. I'm getting rid of the AC, so that's half the battle. I found a circuit diagram that I think will work for the heater, so I'm getting close. * I don't really need it, but I didn't bother deleting the controls from the panel and I already purchased a new graphics from Black Cat Customs.
I would not attempt this one a modern car!, but I plan on diagramming everything out once I get a break from school, so the install will go smoother.
I just received mine, it looks really well made. Only thing is, it comes with a vinyl square under the pedals which oem carpet doesn't have. As a bonus, it's on sale right now for $160 shipped to your door, I don't think you can get used black carpet for that price.

It's funny that we haven't met yet. I've seen photos of your car, and quite know a few people in Xclusiv Alliance. I rarely drive this car, and it's not drivable at all now. lol
I got the first batch of interior parts back today and dropped off everything else that's going to be covered in Alcantara. The work is amazing, I'll try to post some pics tomorrow.
Other than that, I'm still waiting on my wiring harness so that I can get an idea of where I'll mount everything.
I'll make sure to post some pics tomorrow with good lighting. The only downside is that it's a pretty far drive to the shop. 200+ miles round trip. Well worth it though.
Thanks, i know i owe some pics, but i spent yesterday installing power outlets in the garage, as well as making space to set up the engine hoist.
I'm trying to move through a lot of the work, so that i can get the car out of the garage by winter. We have anther baby on the way in December, so I'm trying to get the car to the next stage by then. I know my limits and I'm not looking to learn autobody repair on this car.
Long work week, but I made some progress tonight and I passed both classes this quarter!
Most of the A/C system removed.
ABS system removed.
Inter-cooler piping and parts of the intake system removed.
Finally assembled the engine hoist. I could pull the engine and transmission this weekend, but I think I'll wait another two weeks to get a second pair of hands.
Tomorrow, I'll finish the harness removal. I still have another 4 weeks before the Infinitybox system arrives so progress will be a little slow.
*Hopefully I can shoot the interior pieces tomorrow if the weather works with me.
I like the idea of using the isis wiring kit. I looked into them when i was thinking about taking on an slc build but never thought about putting one in the rx7.

I've gone back and forth for over a year on using the ISIS kit. My neighbor finally convinced me. It's been done on a RX7 before, so I won't be the first.
Headlights are in and I think they did an excellent job.
Here are a couple pics of the transmission tunnel cover in Alcantara next to my original one. I'm glad I picked this up brand new a couple years ago then stored it away. Malloy Mazda said that they are no longer available.
