xDspec vanished from the forum; didn't ship my parts
On August 12, I sent a PM to xDspec in response to his "87 GXL partout" thread:

I was interested in his pair of excellent condition S4 taillights. His price was $65 shipped. He sent me some photos and they looked very clean, so I made a PayPal payment. About three days later, he PMed me to say that one of the taillights was actually cracked and that he hadn't noticed this earlier. I was a little skeptical of this since the photo he sent me of the cracked lens looked much worse than the original photo of the clean lenses, but he offered to give me a 100% refund or a 50% refund and both the good and cracked taillight. I opted for the 50% refund plus taillights, and xDspec agreed.
A couple weeks went by so I sent him another PM to check on the status of my parts and refund. He replied on September 2 and said he had been "on a last minute trip to Hawaii" and hadn't had a chance to ship the parts or PayPal me my refund. He asked me to remind him of my shipping address and PayPal ID and he'd get the taillights out "ASAP along with the refund." That was the last I heard from him.
If you click on his ID, it appears his last activity on the forum was on 9/10/09. Even if he got sick or had some crisis, I have to wonder why he couldn't process my refund in that intervening 8 days. I think there's a decent chance that he signed up on this forum earlier this year for the sole purpose of ripping people off. On the other hand, he did take a lot of time corresponding with me about the parts. Well, at least I'm only out $65.
I'm posting this because quite a few guys expressed interest in his thread and even after I gave him a negative Trader score, people were still posting inquiries to him. I have all the PMs saved if anyone needs more info on this transaction.
