Tajabaho1 (Conan) sold me a "Rebuilt 0 Miles" S4 TII Transmission on February 12th for $87.00, paid in full via Paypal. He was originally selling for $150 but because I am a friend of another member on this forum (zerox7) who happens to live down the street from him, he said he was going to "hook it up" with a sweet deal, so he gave me the price of $87.00 which included Paypal fees and local pickup from zerox7. I paid Conan, had my buddy pick it up and keep it at his place for a while.

Now, it might have been my fault for not really pressuring him into giving me a full explanation of where, when, and how it was rebuilt. My buddy vouched for him and said he is a legit honest seller and I've seen the same before from his previous sales feedback, so I didn't bother to find out the details. After about 2 months I decided I wasn't going to be needing it anymore and decided to re-sell. A buddy of zerox7's local to him wanted it, and came to pick it up last week Thursday. Upon taking it home he opening it up and said it's really fucked up inside, banged up, damaged, and definitely unusable. That pissed me off mainly because it made be look like a bad seller. I refunded him immediately and zerox7 is going to pickup the transmission when he is back at home (Attended IceMark's funeral this weekend.)

So, all in all, I think this is partially might fault but also mainly his for obviously not being honest about the functionality of this transmission. I can't file a Paypal claim because it is 45 days past the transaction date and he also hasn't been answering my calls, nor others from what it seems. All I want is my $87.00 back and he can gladly have his transmission back, exactly the way I bought it. If any Mods can jump in and help with this I'd appreciate it. I try to keep an excellent relationship with my buyers as well as people I buy from, so this is very disappointing.

 

Seems like he is ignoring my calls as well as not answering a few other people on the forum. This is really become pathetic on his part.

btw, as for not returning any calls, I haven't returned any calls period, since I couldn't pay the dam phone bill until like 2 days ago, I am already talking to rx-7 doctor about this and hopefully we can resolve the issue soon.

You sold me a TII Transmission that is trashed and does not work, if you don't refund the money then you sir are a scammer. Simple as that. If you really didn't know that it was messed up then own up to it and refund my money, as I said to you before you can have the transmission back in the same exact condition I purchased it from you.

 

no worries about giving it back, I have no need for any rx7 stuff anymore and would actually give the rx7 away along with all other rx7 related stuff to anyone that wants it

as for the refund, I will try my best to get the money back to you once you give me your paypal again,

Update:

I've received $40 via Paypal from him today. That leaves of a remainder of $47 left to clear up this transaction. Thankfully he is acknowledging what's going on and is willing to credit me back for my purchase. Hopefully I can see the rest of the money soon and we can all move on, thanks for your help as well Doc.

 

Update:

This has been resolved between Conan and myself. He has refunded me the amount I paid for the transmission in full and all is well. Just wanted to say thanks for any help provided by the forum as well as your cooperation to get this resolved Conan.

IMO you should leave it up, it shows you were a good guy and didn't shrug off your responsibilities or try to make excuses. Mods call, I guess.

 

It's policy to leave these threads for public view, they're never deleted. This one has a happy ending so I wouldn't lose sleep over it

If anything ask one of the mods in this section to amend the title.

 

I myself have had a few issues with sales in the past on this forum and the threads are still there, but none the less it's sometimes important to let others see that you handled your business and did not let it ruin your rep.

 

I edited the title to be more accurate. We dont delete these threads because they show valiable information to our members--in this case, they show that you are a stand-up seller that refunded a buyer's money and took full responsibility for the sale. In my book that's a good thing, I would definitely not worry about your reputation here. If anyone sees this thread and somehow still has an issue with trusting you, send them to me and I will be happy to explain the facts of life to them.....
