I'm posting this to warn you guys about this potentially fraudulent seller on RX7Club. I saw a thread of his, this one Nicely modified turbo II part out!!! lots of aftermarket and s5 parts, that had a ton of parts for sale. I inquired about the Stance GR+ coilovers, after a few back and forths he dropped the price from $1100.00 to $850 shipped. I purchased them under the assumption that they were barely used and still under the factory warranty.

It's been one problem after another with this purchase. First it took like a week and a half after the payment was sent to get him to finally ship them, he kept saying it would happen tomorrow (classic).

Then once they arrived they were filthy, I mean covered in mud.

When I went to install them I found one of the lower shocks mounts to be seized, luckily I was able to free the lower mount after a few days of soaking in liquid wrench. However this is when I found out that they weren't actually under warranty, he informed me that he actually bought them back in May of '07.

Once they were installed I noticed that there was a loud squishing sound coming from one of the rear shocks, the same one that had the seized lower mount in fact. After talking to Stance USA and my mechanic it was determined that the damper was blown.

I don't know how it happened if they were as barely used as he implied but my guess is the car hit a curb and blew the shock and seized the lower mount. He took em off and sold them as barely used.

At this point I asked for a full refund and even offered to pay shipping back to him. He said the bottom line was he wasn't going to give a refund.

But he said he would help to pay for the replacement damper, though he didn't "think he should have to pay for the repairs" he was willing to 'help me out' by paying part of the cost.

He claimed that the shock was damaged in shipping or during install, I don't know how such a beefy coilover could be damaged in transit when the box wasn't even dented, and I wasn't aware that bolting a shock in place could blow the seals.....

Long story short, I ended up paying for the replacement damper and have been waiting for him to reimburse me. The cost was $155 for the replacement damper, this kid is selling tons of parts on here and yet can't do the right thing and keep his own word....

So be wary, assume the worst if you buy from him, multiple buyers have been complaining of delayed shipments and I was horribly disappointed to find the coils were damaged and not under warranty as he claimed.



Cliff notes:

Kid sold coilovers as barely used and still under warranty when in fact they were damaged and not under warranty. He refused to refund my money and won't even pay for the replacement damper as he said he would.


I hope this serves it's purpose and maybe helps prevent somebody from getting ripped off like I did.

He's got a lot of stuff for sale and I just hope that he's straight with people when he sells to them. If you agree to something, you should keep your word. It's just not right to mislead people and then ignore your responsibility to make things right.

 

I paid Superstock2 on Sept 2 for a downpipe. He has not replied to any of my PMs.

 

I bought a spoiler from him that was described as "s5 spoiler" so I assumed it was stock. Took a month to get here after telling me it was being shipped "today" repeatedly. I finally got it and it's basically garbage:

Since it doesn't mount like a stock one the only real option I had was using 3M mounting tape, except that the bottom is all cut out. He's not responding to PMs and I'm moving so I can't really deal with it anyways. I'd say definitely do not buy from this guy.

Edit: Spoiler did make a good javelin though.

 

Okay, it would have been have been nice if you would have posted dates. i received payment for the coilovers in late July, and had them shipped out in a week or so as njgreenbud said. he receives the parts, and i hear nothing for a few days. i receive a pm saying that one of them is seized as is stated, and i apologize.
later i get a reply saying he has unfreed the stuck coil, and that everything is okay. then a few more days go by and he says he is having a problem with one of the coilovers. at this time he has had the coils for well over a week.
i will admit, that i was under the assumption that the coils were under warranty, and they were not, which i apologized for in my pm's. however, like i stated he had the coilovers for some time, and i was not able to determine if they were damaged during shipping, during installation, or after he had installed them on the car.
he made the assumption that i had hit a curb and blown a coil, which i can say, never happened... although i can't say that he didn't do something similar after he had purchased them. the only thing i know, is that they weren't under warranty as i had originally thought, and thats why i had agreed to help pay part of the repairs.
Thats why i said i would reimburse a 100 out of the 155 needed to replace the coil. its funny how he hasn't quoted the pm where he says i should have to pay to replace both the rears.
the reason i have been slow to reply to his pm's, is because i'm a full time college student with a full time job...
i know sometimes it may take a little longer for a part to get shipped from me, but you can ask any person on the board who i have sold a part to, that they arrive as describe and are always sold for a very reasonable price.
i always try to describe a part to the best of my knowledge, and have made many successful sales on this board to date.
i have tried to uphold a good report with sellers, and have made many good sales and purchases.
and i have apologized several times to rectify this situation, with no help from the purchaser... i'm really not trying to be the seller from hell lol.

 

biz, i'm sorry the spoiler is different than what you were expecting, but i sent you several pictures before you paypaled me and you got exactly what was in the pictures...

 

i don't know if you use paypal much but it takes 4-5 days for money to transfer from a paypal account to a bank account, i had the money transfered and had the downpipe shipped as soon as possible, keeping in mind weekends and non-business days. i just pm'd you with a tracking number, and you should receive the part sometime next week.

I'm not interested in your excuses, coils don't get blown during shipping, and they sure as heck don't get damaged bolting them into place.

As soon as I spoke to Rishie at Auto RND and found out these weren't under the factory warranty I asked for a refund from you, and I would have even paid to return these coils to you. You refused to give me my money back and have been postponing every communication to the point where it leaves me feeling ripped off.

You had agreed finally agreed to reimburse me for the cost of the replacement damper, that being $155 not $100 not $75. Now, are you going to keep your word and hold up your end of the deal or are you going to flat out lie and ignore the issue at hand?

 

You sent me one picture of a top view that was too dirty to see the scratches, you didn't mention that the bottom of the spoiler had been cut and the threads had been messed up.

 

You would think he might mention the spoiler being hacked up.....but then you might not have bought it. Just like if I knew the coilovers weren't covered by warranty I wouldn't have bought them.......

 

i didn't know the bottom had been cut, and there were other pictures in my for sale thread... it came off my car and was the only spolier i had seen... i assumed they were all that way.

 

yeah but as i stated above, they could have been blown during the last two weeks you had them, i don't know if you had them on your car and messed them up...

Listen, you should have refunded all of my money when I asked as soon as I found out these weren't as described. You refused to refund my money even when I volunteered to pay for shipping back to you. That right there says something about the way you operate.

You have agreed to pay for the replacement damper weeks ago. Now it seems like your going back on what you said and trying to make it seem like I damaged the coil somehow.

I do not appreciate being called a liar, I sure as hell do not appreciate being ripped off and then jerked around. I'm not sure how you think your going to end up in the clear here. You owe me for the cost of the replacement damper. Either you send the $155 via paypal or I'm gonna pursue this in every possible manner including legally. Fraud is fraud no matter how you look at it, whether it's over the web, over the phone or in person.





It's become quite apparent to the members who have read this thread that you sell shoddy goods and have no ethics what so ever. Good job man!!

 

You can almost always get a full refund from paypal. Call them up and tell them you were sold goods that were not as advertised and they almost always decide in your favor for that kind of stuff. I sold a paintball gun on eBay a while back and the idiot tried to back out before he even paid and when he finally got the gun he told paypal it was **** and didn't work even though I have the emails saying it was sold as is and works, and they decided in his favor and it forced me to refund him all the money, which was close to $500.

 

I will contact Paypal directly tomorrow and speak to a Claims manager.

 

Can the people that bought his FMIC set up, and rtek vouch for this guy.? I was actually going to pay for his wedsport rims.. lol
