sublime420 a.k.a Udubrx7 THIEF!!!
On November 5, 2008 I sent a paypal payment to Thomas Kellum of Wilmington, NC (Udubrx7 or sublime420 on RX7Club.com, email tmoss.kellum@gmail.com) for $123.78 USD for a TenzoR steering wheel, hub adapter and shift boot shipped. Thread was here: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-rx-7-1986-1992-parts-194/fs-s4-sp-13bt-midpipes-wideband-o2-s5-bumper-w-frp-lip-underbelly-pan-etc-796193/ After checking shipping quotes to Canada, he told me it may not be enough, but he was going to get an estimate. A bit of idle conversation back and forth and then nothing. I had no answer from him through e-mail or Private Message on RX7Club.com from January 23, 2009 until I looked him up on a forum he still frequented, Carolina Hondas.
Under a different alias (knowing he was well ignoring me and had no intention of shipping my parts) I found out that he still had the parts, and was offering them for sale, attempting to de-fraud me. He even tried claiming that I After realizing that I now had his personal information, he seemed to be cooperative, and willing to refund the money shortly or finally send the parts. I asked that he refund the money instantly, he refused. His e-mail:
“I don't know how you alls economy is doing up there, but where I live we are taking a big hit financially. I'm saving up as much as I can afford to after paying bills. In the meantime, if you're still interested, I have a friend now who works with UPS, and I want to see what kind of discount he can get me on shipping to the country above the united states. If it makes the shipping reasonable based on what you paid for the items shipped, I'd be willing to eat my words and send them to you. Either way is fine.”
On January 27th, 2009:
“I'm trying to get it together, I can't just come up with $125 out of thin air, and I can't access my paypal account yet, so I can't use that money either. I've got some parts I should be able to sell very soon, people have shown interest. I will definitely let you know soon as I can get it sent out and when it will be. Feel free to keep hounding me, and I will respond and keep you updated, but you really should just email me at tmoss.kellum@gmail.com, because I'm sure you know that these PM notifications don't always show up in your email. That is by far the best/quickest way to get in touch with me.”
And then on February 13th, 2009:
“So what do you want to do, I get paid next Friday, so I could send you a check the following Monday.
Thomas”
After asking for him to either get the parts in the mail instantly or send me confirmation of a M.O. in the mail, since he claimed his paypal account was “locked”, he stopped communication again. On March 17th, 2009, over 4 months after paying, I still have not received parts, my money in return, or an answer. So, I am forced to eat this fraud. I will be contacting the authorities regarding this transaction and his obvious de-frauding, but feel that all potential buyers should be aware that regardless of excuses, shipping costs, or anything, this matter was not resolved, and this guy has my money and parts he was supposed to sell. I, on the other hand, am out some cash.
I have given him until this Friday to send me proof of refund, and if this is posted he obviously has not complied. I suggest he be banned from all the forums he belongs to, as this will be posted on all of them.
Moderators, or anyone curious, feel free to contact me at t_boy153@hotmail.com if you need to know anything about this incident. If anything changes, I will post it up immediately.
