Ok so slow_talon bought my RE-A Redom tuned ECU, and paid right away. the transaction was fast. At this point everything went great, I told him id send them out on the 28th of dec. (He sent the money on the 23rd, I told him if I didnt get the money by the 22nd he would have to wait because im going to Halifax for the holidays)
So I sent them out no problem, gave him a tracking number, with insurance. then 2 days latter, I check my e-mail and notice slow_talon has added a claim to our transaction, stating he hasn't received the item yet. And well 2 days inst enough time for a item to be sent from Halifax, clear customs and head all the way south to Texas, and he has the tracking # anyways. His excuse is that "he has been screwed many times before" and well that's not an acceptable answer at all. I wouldn't have sold these to him if I knew in 2 days if the product dosent arrive he will file a paypal claim.
So the claim lasted until he received the item, the he lifted it, and said sorry. but come on.
He did pay, seemed like a good guy, but just the stress of having a claim on your money even after you have done all you could to have a safe and fast transaction, I just wouldn't want to put that on anyone.

I'd be pretty freaking pissed if I were you. You should have created this thread the day he filed a claim.
However, I believe you can reply to paypal with a tracking number and they'll drop the claim against you.

yea i did do that, but then the claim "Went under review by paypal". and was going to be done by the 25th of Jan.
so im glad he ended the claim before then.
I didn't want to make this thread until he canceled the claim, i didn't want to escalate anything further, until i had my money.
But yea, it was just stupid, and stressful. So just keep an eye out for it. i know one of his buddies are selling a set of FEED doorhandles in the 3rd gen FS section, so i wouldn't even trust his friend with anything either. here is the FS thread:

Anyways, just keep an eye out. Hope this will save someone from this retarded ordeal i went through.

wow... judging me without knowing me. Ive bought some parts from other members and sold parts to them and never had a complain from them. Why would you tell other people not to trust me if I havent even talk to you... and as far as i remember you did send me a post of trading me I think you RE piping or something for my FEED handles. Also, i think slow_talon didnt receive the item till probably 2 1/2 weeks after money was sent... Im pretty sure it doesnt take that much to get an item ship. anyway please dont be posting comments that you THINK im a bad seller or buyer.. If you know for a FACT then judge if not please keep it shut!!!!

Sending Stuff From Canada to the Us lately Has been Slow as Hell.I've had packages sent and recieved Ten Days or MORE via Canada Post/USPS..and it's not the Canadian Postal service that takes it Forever,You can Track items Out of Canada but Not IN the US.It's like it goes into "mail Limbo" and then gets Shot out when it is good and Ready.

Anyways, JesusGLS, i only asked them to take precautions. Not to bad mouth you, but you guys are obviously friends, and you are backing Talon up, so that dosent say much right there. I said Talon paid right away, good transaction that way, but hes jaded because he even said "Hes been screwed to many times" and im sorry, i don't want to deal with someone who has a grudge about buying things online, yet does it anyways, and puts that insecurity on me as he files a paypal claim.
AND i told talon that if he didnt send the money on the 22nd that id have to send it a week later. Since im going to Halifax for the holidays. And he sent money on the 23rd, and i sent it out his package on the 27th, and it took 10 days to get there. And not even 3 days after i sent it with tracking # and insurance, i get a pay pal claim. Without him even talking to me about it. Not the way to do business im sorry.
im sure your a good guy
Looking out for the community.

First of all I purchased the Ecu from you on 12/23/08 you say you sent it on the 27th and i did my paypal claim on the 5th of jauary because i wasn't even able to track the package eventhough you posted a tracking # which you can get electronically so that was the reason i did the claim however once i got the ecu I did cancel the complaint if I were to be non legit i would of continue the claim...So I think you should not even post i'm a bad buyer/seller thanks
o well.... i just think there is misunderstanding here. Im sure you Rx72Heaven and slow_talon are both good sellers and buyers. You guys just didnt communicate well. I just think you shouldnt blame anyone for a mistake you both did.. after all you both did a great deal and did everything right just with some small mistakes.. I guess i can still vouch for both of you guys!!

The very definition of a good trader - buyer OR seller - is good communication.

let's recap.....seller gets payment. Within 4 days of getting paid, seller ships item out. Seller obtains tracking number and insurance, and communicates with the buyer--letting him know that it was shipped, giving him the tracking number, etc. Slow talon even verified this when he said that he had the tracking number. This seller did not do anything wrong....he kept in contact with the buyer. It isnt like he didnt send the guy his tracking number.....slow talon merely decided it was bogus WITHOUT communicating his concern.
The fact that the shipment had to cross customs should have told you that it would not be there in a couple days. Man, he shipped your parts from Canada to Texas....wake up already. It can easily take longer than two days for a first class letter to go between most states in this country, let alone a package coming from outside the US!
He tells talon "if you send money after the 22nd, I wont be able to ship for a week because I will be out of town"......and talon, knowing this, sends money after that date, but then complains when he has to wait a few days?
Sorry, but a paypal dispute has no place when you cannot listen to what the seller has told you about a shipping delay and cannot communicate at all with him once youre concerned. A paypal duspute is to be done AFTER you actually tried getting some kind of resolution, not in place of that. You were way too quick pulling the trigger on this deal. And the seller has a right to complain about that.
However he said he was going to ship on the 24th cause something about his trip gettin delayed...but oh well I was just making sure I got my stuff...Plus the freaking tracking # was never updated so that got me a little worried because you know you can get online tracking # without actually taking stuff to the mail, also If I did vouch for him on his selling thread when the stuff got here, If I were to be a dick I wouldn't even cancel the claim or told him that I got the stuff but if you Rx72Heaven got offended by that well what can I say "I'm Sorry"

well you did what you did. i checked the tracking # as well, and it was getting updated. you even asked me at one point what website i was using. So i dont even know how hard you were even trying. And i had to warn to community, well what can i say "I'm Sorry" too
Thanks guys for the good responses, Im only telling what happened, and i appreciate you guys in here backing up what i have to say as well. rx7roller02 hit it on the head. Nuff said.
