Thumbs down SHOWOFF ....... Horrible sale!

Bought a undertray from Dennis (showoff). He reieved my money order Dec 3rd 08 and cashed it...and have not heard back! I have sent multiple PMs on where my item is but i am not getting ANY reponse. He said he would also send me a shipping number, something i never got!

I am in canada and asked him to ship it imediatley to my US shipping addy as i had other parts being sent there by other members. I have to drive to the states to pick up my items....low and behold all my parts are there EXCEPT dennis part.
Now i will have to drive all the way back to the states to get it, thats if it is ever sent.

Its now Dec 21st and still no response, if anyone knows him please pass along my concern

Proof of our convos.....

i recieved the check and cashed it today so ill be shipping the underpanel out by tomorrow, ill pm you the tracking number once its dropped off

ahhh yes i love when only half the story is told, what about the rest of the pm's where i offered you a refund countless times? lol i told you i dont frequent the board everyday and i gave you my personal email to reach me at if you had any concerns of the where abouts of your parts which you used throughly!. its very simple when you do business with me you either receive the part or you receive your money. You made shipping the part to you extremely difficult during the holidays, iam glad you think iam a horrible seller, i personally believe your a horrible buyer

All I see if that you offered if for $150.00 shipped in the US and he supplied you with a US shipping address, so what was the issue?

I never recieved my item....I had to keep emailing and Pming. when i finally got a hold of him i told him to just refund the money. When he refunded my money, weeks later..the item was still at his place, never shipped.

As you can see he cashed the cheque Dec 3rd...i made this post Dec 21st and at that time i still had not heard from him (via pm), or even recieved a shipping number yet. It was bit after this time that i finally looked in his user profile to email him.

When i emailed him, an i finally got a response he said he would get it out that week....i then decided that considering the item wasnt even out his door yet, i wanted my money back.

Bro dont even try to throw "the other story" stuff.....that is the story! You never even gave me your email. I got it by going into your user profile and emailing you through that. And it wasnt till i sent that email you responded to me...i went weeks through PMs with out response.

How did I make shipping difficult durring the holidays? You put it up for sale at that time, all i did was buy it!?! You said you would give me a shipping number...i never got that either. Why? becausde it wasnt shipped, hence the reason why you were so quick to agree with me when i asked for my money back.

Sure you may not frequent the forums often...then dont bother selling on them, go to ebay. If your going to sell on the forum you have to be prepared to answer questions and PMs!

You screwed up, just admit it. I can show the date you refunded my money...when I asked for my money back you still had the part in your hands, not even shiped yet. If it was shipped, then it would have already been in transit when the refund went through!

You emailed me with a refund countless times!!!!!! It was my idea....I got fed up and told you i wanted my money back via email! I know your type, i have met them before, turn stories around to "your idea"...your something else.

How can i be a horrible buyer? I sent you a money order imediatley.....makes scence?!?!

Pretty sure Doc was asking 'showoff' what the issue was.

Sounds like a case of asking for $150 shipped and then he decided that he wanted more than that.

The PM cut/paste is a little hard to follow, but here is where 'showoff' offered for $150 shipped:

https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-rx-7-1993-2002-parts-99/fs-et-streets-budget-skinnies-oem-undertray-oem-steering-wheel-801403/

I also don't see why 'showoff' had a problem. He offered it FS for $150 shipped (in the US) and you gave him $150 w/ a US shipping address. He should have determined what it would cost to ship before saying "$150 shipped". You paid what he asked for. He should have had it shipped out within 2 or 3 days after receiving payment or alerted you right away (before you paid) that he was going to be out of town and couldn't ship before (xx/xx/xx).

Mazdabation: The money order was in U.S. funds (not CAD), correct?

Yes the money order was in US funds.....the cheque and the shipping address isnt the problem. Its the fact that the cheque was cashed, but the part was never sent. I dont know if he wanted more...he did say there was a snow storm. We had the same storm here (were not that far from each other really). It lasted a day, lets say one more to shovel yourself out.....two days max late on shipping, not a month.

I did get my money back...but i also lost money becaus of this. It cost me to convert the money to US funds in the first place, then my money order was $5 charge. He refunded what i paid to my PP account($150US), who then took 3% from me. I then convert that to CDN funds and lost again becasuse the convertion was worse at that time

nice...

That is true though. If you sell something on the forum, be ready to send the item out, especially after you accept the money. Same thing with ebay. You have to be ready. People EXPECT the item to ship out asap if they use "buy it now", so being ready to ship it anyday is mandatory. Or at least 24-48 hours after payment given.

Dont sell something, receive money, then ditch the forum so any contact to you will be inpossible. Thats not right.

When i sell something, i always make sure i answer PM's. As soon as they pop up when i log in, i go right to them. I dont just put them on hold.
